Battlefield 2042 launched in a rough state and though there are still fun things to play with like Hazard Zone, that doesn’t excuse all of the problems that players had to go through, but it looks like things are changing soon as EA has announced a major shakeup to the Battlefield Universe.
Despite the launch of Battlefield 2042, it looks like EA wants to keep supporting the franchise, including more support for the current game and more entries in the franchise, along with some major changes in management, including a name that should make fans of online shooters very happy.

Battlefield Universe Goes Through Major Changes With New Management and More Storytelling
According to a lengthy report from Gamespot, EA is working on a Battlefield Universe that will include multiple games developed by a number of studios in the United States and Europe, with Respawn’s Vince Zampella now overseeing the Battlefield franchise, in addition to being the boss of Overwatch.
Zampella isn’t the only notable name who will now be involved with the Battlefield franchise, as Halo designer Marcus Lehto is starting a studio that’s going to “inject more storytelling” for the Battlefield Universe, which says a lot since there wasn’t a single-player campaign for Battlefield 2042.
It will be interesting to see what these changes mean for Battlefield 2042 and if that means more story-oriented games in the future but the fact that EA seems to be responding to the criticism with major changes can be seen as a good thing.
Fans will also be happy to know that Battlefield 2042 will not be abandoned as Zampella is also going to overlook the game, along with all of the Battlefield franchise, including future entries for this series.
Battlefield 2042 is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
