SHIB holders may be in for a treat when the Shiba Inu Metaverse finally releases, with Shytoshi Kusama saying the project will look “unreal”.

As development studio The Third Floor comes aboard the metaverse, holders are awaiting their first glimpse of the metaverse’s design.

The SHIB project lead posted this on the SHIB Discord, where he also re-confirmed that the Shiba Inu Game could launch in September. However, is there actually more to this "unreal" hint?

Shiba Inu Metaverse Will Look Unreal

When one Shiba Growth member pondered how the Shiba Inu Metaverse will look, Shytoshi quickly responded, stating: “UNREAL. That’s how it will look.”

Another holder asked when a metaverse sneak peek, similar to the recent sneak peak for Shibarium, could be released. Shytoshi said this will be “soon, fren.”

However, what makes this hyperbole term much more significant is that it could be in reference to something beyond just the metaverse looking good.

Shiba Inu Metaverse Could Use Unreal Engine

One of the most popular, and (somewhat) free game and film engines is Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. Outside of the Shiba Inu Metaverse looking unreal, there could be a chance that Shytoshi is hinting it will look Unreal, as it is using Unreal Engine.

In a statement from The Third Floor, it also acknowledged its Unreal Engine experience. It said:

TTF’s rapid prototyping, powered by real-time processing and creative iteration in Unreal Engine, will take ideas and “looks” quickly from concept into 3D prototypes.

Indeed, the hiring of David Kern for the Shiba Inu Metaverse further solidifies this. The new SHIB advisor has experience across several games, and using Unreal Engine, according to Shytoshi.

“He is absolutely experienced in what we need,” Shytoshi said. “Unreal 5.”

Unreal Engine 5 is the latest iteration of Unreal Engine, now used in Fortnite and available for developers to use.

Given Unreal Engine is a pretty diverse tool, there’s no telling how the Shiba Inu Metaverse will look if it does run in UE5. However, for reference, here is a demo created in the engine using The Matrix.

And what about the Shiba Inu Game? Well, its developer PlaySide Studios used Unreal Engine 4 in its recent Age of Darkness game. There’s no guarantee the SHIB game will do the same, but it is yet another link to Unreal Engine.

Of course, this remains unconfirmed. We’ll only know for sure what the details are when revealed by the SHIB team.

Nevertheless, SHIB holders have plenty to look forward to. Whether it's Shibarium or the more SHIB burns, there's plenty on the Shiba Inu roadmap.
