Wands Alliances has just been announced and could be one of the best VR games to date, and therefore we can't wait for its release.
It should hopefully be a brilliant sequel to the original Wands game from 2016 and allow for yet more spellcasting action and will be set in an alternative-universe Victorian London this time around, which sounds rather fun and interesting.
Understandably, therefore, we're excited for what's to come, and if it does turn out to be as good as we think, it may just become one of the best Quest 2 games out there.
Here's what we know so far.
Wands Alliances VR Release Date
We don't have a concrete release date for Wands Alliances just yet but the developers have noted a release in the first half of 2022.
This would suggest a date in June or July at the latest, although may of course arrive sooner. We'll be sure to update you when we get a more certain date.
Wands Alliances VR Price Prediction
The same also goes for pricing, as we don't currently know how much Wands Alliances is going to be, although we can make an educated price based on the original Wands title.

It currently retails a price of $19.99 on Steam and £14.99 on the Oculus Store, and it would make sense for this sequel to carry a similar RRP.

Alongside details of the game's announcement, we also caught a glimpse of its supporting teaser trailer, which you can check out below:
There's no reveal of gameplay within this teaser, unfortunately, but we do know the game will offer 3 vs. 3 room-scale combat and involve wands, as the title also suggests.
As this game only looks to be on Quest 2 for now, it may be the case that Wands Alliances could take advantage of the headset's hand tracking functionality for when you're wielding a wand.
With its 3 vs. 3 combat, this is a game designed with other players in mind, which could also help it along to be one of the best multiplayer VR games out there, too.

There's been no word on whether the game will be released for PCVR headsets such as the HTC Vive Pro 2 or Valve Index, although if you do own Quest 2, you can also of course connect it to a PC and play Steam games which makes it quite the versatile device.
As for gameplay, whilst we don't know too much right now, if the original was anything to go by, it makes sense to expect some intense battles with a good selection of maps and clever customisation options and even more in this sequel.
