Warframe Railjack Overhaul Turns Players Into Space Pirates

Warframe's space combat has long been a part of the experience that many players haven't touched, but that could be set to change as the Railjack mode gets a sizeable overhaul.

The changes will arrive as part of update 29.10.0 on PC in "the next week or two", while the console versions will presumably follow later.

Warframe Railjack Overhaul Turns Players Into Space Pirates

Acquiring a Railjack, your very own spaceship, is about to get a lot simpler thanks to the reduced resource requirements required to build one, and you'll no longer need to fly with friends if you'd rather play solo, with NPCs being added to your ship's crew.

Mods for Railjacks have been streamlined, too, so the previous "Avionics" will be swapped out for a more standard setup, and ships will move faster and be easier to control thanks to smaller interiors that allow players to move between locations more quickly.

Ammo can be crafted from the cargo hold, too.

Missions are also being overhauled, including a new Volatile mode which has you boarding enemy ships while the opposition attempts to destroy them.

We recently reviewed the game's PS5 version and were left incredibly impressed.

"If you’ve never played Warframe and are looking for an opportunity to jump in, then the PS5 version provides an excellent opportunity to do just that," we said.

"It’s beautiful, complex, and offers a free-to-play business model that offers content in spades without prompting you for your bank details on a regular basis."
