How to Change Classes in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
To change any character's class, how you do it depends on the screen you're currently on. For this example, we're back at the camp, making any number of minute changes to our roster for whatever battle looms ahead.
So, to change classes in the new Fire Emblem: Warriors, just hit the + button to load up the menu. From there, select the Convoy option, press A on the character who's class you want to change, and use the ZR button to move over to the Change Class tab at the top.
From there, you'll be able to select from any of classes that particular unit has unlocked. Any Beginner class will be available regardless, but any below that will need to be learned by that character before they can be selected.
You can read more about how that works in our How to Unlock Classes guide. Again, things can get a little complicated when the game has dozens of different menus with very similar ideas behind them.
How to Change Class In Battle
While you can't actively change your class once you're actually in a fight and moving around the battlefield, you do have one last chance to change the classes of your army before you head into battle.
Once you've selected a stage to fight in, hover over a deployed unit on the Battle Map screen. This is the default screen, but you can also move away from it using the menu set on the left, so select Battle Map again if you do.
From the Battle Map, you can either press X to head into their Convoy window and change classes just like you usually would, or you're free to swap that character out for another using ZR and following the same steps to change their class instead.
Any changes here will be reflected in the battle as soon as you hit the Fight! selection in the menu, thrusting you into a skirmish with your deployed characters and their set classes.
Hopefully, that's everything you need to know about changing classes in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. We'll have more on the game soon. In the meantime, check out
