Warzone 2 is off to a flying start as Call of Duty fans drop into the franchise’s latest battle royale offering for the first time. Packed with innovation, the sequel to the first Warzone aims to set itself apart from its predecessor.
With Season One underway, numerous content creators are landing in Al Mazrah to score their first victories and explore AI-controlled strongholds full of high-tier loot to earn.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is no stranger to the world of battle royale games. During a match alongside fellow content creator Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, he discovers a secret underwater loot cache containing a wealth of valuable items.
Ninja finds underwater Warzone 2 loot
Warzone 2 sees the arrival of water mechanics, allowing players to swim through lakes and rivers. While crossing a small pond, the streaming superstar spots a mysterious outline of a capsule at the bottom.
“Oh my god, there’s a hidden loot cache!” exclaims CouRage with Ninja close behind. Upon closer inspection, the cache contains armour plates, an armour satchel, and a precision airstrike killstreak capable of dealing huge damage.
The arrival of water is a welcome change to Warzone 2 and its movement mechanics. The first version of the game eliminated anyone that dipped their toes into deep pools, so having the ability to swim and use boats to navigate the map changes the pace of play.
It’s unclear if Infinity Ward has planted more underwater caches across the map, but there’s a high possibility of other capsules containing game-changing items laying within Al Mazrah’s murky waters. If Ninja and CouRage’s discovery is anything to go by, underwater loot is definitely worth obtaining during a match.
