  • Quick Answer: Season 2 Reloaded arrives soon in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and the latter will be getting some major additions, including the anticipated Blackout experience.

Although the start of the season brought significant additions, like the return of Ranked Play and Winter Rebirth Island, Season 2 Reloaded also has some major additions in line for Warzone players.

Now that all the information about the second half has been revealed, we have prepared a summary so you can read about everything that's coming to the title and get up to speed.

When Does Warzone Season 2 Reloaded Start?

Season 2 Reloaded of Warzone is currently scheduled to start on Wednesday, March 11, on all platforms. A new update with all the new content is set to go live at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM GMT).

After that, the season won't stay around for too much longer, as the battle pass screen suggests it will end on Thursday, April 2, at the usual time.

New Weapons

The mid-season content is set to add two new weapons to both Black Ops 7 and Warzone. Here are those weapons, along with a few other details:

  • Voyak KT-3 (Assault Rifle): Can be unlocked through an event.
  • Swordfish A1 (Marksman Rifle): Can be unlocked through an event.

Black Ops Royale

One of the most anticipated additions for this mid-season update is the new Blackout-inspired mode titled Black Ops Royale. This variation of the traditional battle royale mode will bring back several features from the classic Black Ops 4 mode.

Among these features, we have the wingsuits to drop on the map or from high places, consumables perks as loot, no currency system or buy stations, no loadouts, weapons can be upgraded with loot, and more.

Black Ops Royale can only be played on Avalon, the large map from Black Ops 7's Endgame mode that has been adapted to feature less water and more terrain to fight. For more details about this mode, make sure to visit this article.

New Modes

Two new modes are dropping with the mid-season update, and below we have all the details:

  • Extreme Resurgence (Haven's Hollow, 100 players, Quads): All Resurgence rules, meaning regular loot, same gas circle activity, same contracts, and same public events. The only difference is in the size, with 25 squads instead of the usual 13.
  • Iron Gauntlet (Verdansk, Duos, 150 players): A variation of battle royale aiming to become a competitive mode. Here are the changes this mode offers compared to the standard battle royale:
    • Scarce resources: This is a high-stakes drop in a survival-focused environment where every decision counts.
    • Competitive Duos: The last squad standing wins.
    • Rapid Collapse: Circles collapse more rapidly than normal BR, leading to more frequent engagements.
    • Earn that loot: There are no free Loadout drops and Buy Station prices are increased.
    • Don’t rely on a ride: Only Bikes and ATVs are available.
    • TTK Delay: Base health has been raised (from 150 to 300 units). Regeneration delay has been adjusted, and regeneration rate has been reduced; all designed to slow down TTK.
    • Loot rebalancing: Epic and Legendary weapons spawn less often, and Killstreaks as well as Cash drops are rarer. Weapons are from the Black Ops 7 pool. Common weapons usually start with extended mags and iron sights (primarily for ARs and SMGs). There are no Perks in loot.
    • Tough But Fair: One-hit kill protection is enabled. Stim shot has been removed.
    • Returning Mechanics: The Gulag, Contracts, and respawn mechanics are the same as the main Call of DutyWarzone Battle Royale mode.

Other Details

Here are other minor details so you don't miss out on anything happening in the next few weeks or any of the small changes:

  • Perk refresh: Season 2 Reloaded will introduce a refresh of perks, adding three and removing three of the ones already available. Here are all the perk changes:
    • Momentum (Perk Slot 2, replaces Alertness): This Perk improves acute combat motions in tight spaces while improving weapon handling to get the jump on foes and follow through accurately.
    • Berserker (Perk Slot 2, replaces Bomb Squad):  After eliminating an enemy player, gain a short burst of enhanced action speed, allowing you to chain engagements and reposition quickly. Berserker also grants increased flinch resistance.
    • Hunter (Perk Slot 3, replaces Tracker): Combines the advantages of Alertness and Tracker.
