- This Warzone player proved aim assist isn't needed
- After an argument on Reddit, this player decided to win a bunch of games with no aim assist
- They also played on console to show they had no PC advantage
Aim assist exists in Warzone to help players with, well, their aim but one gamer has proven that it's not necessary at all. While we’re sure that newer gamers appreciate having the option, more experienced gamers probably don’t need it and this player proves it.
On the game’s subreddit, user LTFC_Dangerous decided to turn off aim assist to prove that the feature isn’t needed for more experienced players. The user had gotten into an argument with someone online and decided to prove that they can do well without this feature and while using a controller.
With zero aim assist in Warzone, the player was able to win 18 games with aim assist turned off and they did so while playing on console. Although the player acknowledges that the gameplay could be better, they did prove that this feature can be turned off if they’re more experienced.
The player thought this was an interesting challenge and it made this multiplayer shooter more fun, which is all that matters. It’s good to know that there are a number of ways to play this game, as most players tend to see Call of Duty as a mindless shooter. Granted, you do need a decent strategy to be successful in the game, but for the most part you just need to shoot and kill everyone.
Despite what some fans might think, there are still a ton of ways to have your own fun in Warzone, even if the game is mostly shooting. One player was able to activate a nuke in time, showing how tense and stressful this multiplayer shooter can be, while also emphasizing the fun of personal challenges. In Modern Warfare 3 one player was also able to max out their level while only using a riot shield, which is pretty crazy.
Fans can download Warzone now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. The free-to-play shooter is also available as part of Modern Warfare 3.
