In order to win a Warzone match, communication is a key ingredient alongside plenty of coordination and gun skill. Using pings to mark enemies or a headset to formulate the next plan of attack makes all the difference over the course of a match.
With players continuing to drop into Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island, some may have come across a squad that includes NFL players JuJu Smith-Schuster and Patrick Mahomes.
Following the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the San Fransisco 49ers, Smith-Schuster credits the battle royale for improving team chemistry on and off the football field.
Warzone helps win American Football matches
During the post-match interview, the Chiefs’ wide receiver explains how winning three Rebirth Island matches in a row built the chemistry needed to overcome the 49ers. “It [the chemistry] kinda just showed on the field,” says Smith-Schuster.
Winning three matches in a row is an impressive task in itself. However, members of the community aren’t convinced by the Chiefs’ in-game achievements. “3 games back to back? I call cap on that,” says one sceptical user. Others say the feat is achievable when the squad is firing on all cylinders. “It’s not that crazy,” claims another fan. “Done it before with my buddies. Doesn’t happen often, but it happens.”
Smith-Schuster is no stranger to the world of gaming and esports. In 2020, he launched Team Diverge, an esports and gaming organisation armed with its very own roster of content creators.
It’s not just American Footballers that drop into the action. The likes of Formula One driver Lando Norris and footballer Dele Alli are also known for making appearances on Caldera from time to time. Perhaps Warzone will become part of more team-building exercises in the future.
