Throughout its short history, Call of Duty: Warzone players have experienced a wide variety of game-breaking bugs and glitches. Despite the best efforts of Raven Software, some continue to return much to the annoyance of the community.
As attention begins to turn to the launch of Season 5, players are still running into problems when dropping into Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune's Keep matches.
On this occasion, a glitch is causing players to freeze shortly after parachuting into the match. Eventually, players are kicked from the game and return to the main menu.
Warzone freeze glitch returns
Unfortunately, this particular issue has appeared in previous seasons of Warzone leading to Raven Software applying a fix. However, the fix hasn’t stopped Reddit user “triliris” from capturing the moment where the game boots them off Rebirth Island.

The opening cinematic encounters no issues but once the player begins looting, the game stops and claims a “connection error” is to blame.
One commenter attempts to remain optimistic regarding the return of the freeze glitch, hoping the launch of Warzone 2 will result in fewer problems. “It’s ok because Warzone 2 is coming, I’m sure it’ll be different then.”
With the glitch kicking players when they start to loot, there’s a chance it could involve specific pieces of ground loot acting as the main cause. However, the current cause of the problem is unknown.
Raven Software is quick to react to any major glitches impacting several players, meaning there’s a high chance a fix will arrive in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, it’s worth landing in a quieter area of the map just in case you disappear back to the main menu at a moment’s notice.
