With many long-time lovers of The Witcher 3 deciding to return to the game in order to check out its freshly released and free next-gen update, the streets of The Continent are bustling with more life than they’ve seen in a good while.
Those jumping back into the body of the white wolf on PC might have noticed that a lot of uber-popular mods are starting to receive the necessary updates to work with the newest version of the game.
If you’ve long been unable to take a trip to The Continent without fast travelling between locations to get to the action as quickly as possible, you’re in luck, as mod that’ll let you do just that a bit more efficiently has just received a next-gen iteration.
If you’re jumping into The Witcher 3’s next-gen update, you can now fast travel to a bunch of extra locations
The mod in question is called ‘DLC - Fast Travel Pack - Next-Gen’ and is the work of modder MerseyRockoff, whose other mods have returned a bunch of cut lore to the game and set up a party for you to attend once you’ve defeated Eredin.
This time, they’ve released a next-gen compatible version of their mod ‘DLC - Fast Travel Pack’, which was inspired by Murzinio and Teiji25’s ‘Fast Travel Points Pack - Unofficial Update’ and added 40 new fast travel signposts to the game, all of which come with lore-friendly descriptions.
The new version does much the same, though the number of signposts has been decreased by one due to the fact CD Projekt Red’s update adds its own new signpost to the courtyard of Crow’s Perch.
However, all of the other locations throughout regions like Velen/Novigrad, Skellige and Toussaint added by the original mod are still there, ensuring that you can spend more time petting Roach than riding him into the ground in your next playthrough.
You also shouldn’t have to worry about the mod conflicting with anything else you’re planning on throwing in your load order, which’ll be music to the ears of those returning witchers who haven’t messed around with mods in a while and so might be a bit rusty.
Regardless of whether you’re now jumping from one side of the map to the other in two shakes of a Cockatrice’s tail, make sure to follow us to get updates on The Witcher Remake and for coverage of some cool Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 mods. You can also check out our mods of the month for November.
