If you prefer shielding up and dealing heavy damage from afar with multiple spells, then this Diablo Immortal Wizard build will set you up. Though typically unable to take much of a beating, also often referred to as the glass cannon, the Diablo Immortal Wizard is a powerful class in the right hands.

The long leveling journey will be arduous and challenging, but we've pieced the right Diablo Immortal Wizard build to be a guide for you. You'll settle on set skills to begin with but swap a few out to manage the slight changes that set in as you progress into the harder zones. We'll go over stat choices, gear options, legendary weapons, and more, with PVP and endgame builds coming soon after.

Diablo Immortal Wizard build - best skills for leveling

Skill
Magic Missile
Scorch (swap for Meteor when able)
Arcane Wind
Lightning Nova (swap for Black Hole when able)
Teleport

By level 18, you'll settle into a Diablo Immortal Wizard build that should see you comfortably through to around level 38, which is when you'll make your first skill switch. The next comes at 41, so you won't have too much time to settle into a new routine before you find your final form.

At level 18, you'll have a simple ranged basic attack, a teleport, and a handy combo with Scorch and Arcane Wind. Both of those skills increase the damage your enemies take, making it important that you stack them both up before burning through your mana with other attacks.

Teleport, as controversial as it may seem to have a slot dedicated to a non-damaging attack, is very important. With three charges to use, it's a great way to not only zip around enemies to reduce your chances of death, but it's a fantastic tool to get you around the map at speed as well, dramatically increasing the leveling process. If you think you don't need it, you're wrong.

At level 38 and 41, you'll finally settle on a newer combo with Black Hole and Meteor. You only need to read those skill names to know how to best use them.

Diablo Immortal Wizard - best Battle Pass legendary

Struggling to find a decent weapon? The Battle Pass has your back. Though you'll be relying on this for some solid EXP later down the line, grabbing its free Legendary as soon as possible is a great way to speed up the process.

For the Wizard, you want to pick up The Siphon. Beyond the obvious stat benefits, this wonderful off-hand weapon makes it so that your Lightning Nova boosts your movement speed by 60% for a short while after casting.

Sure, it's a little sad that there's no extra damage boost on that skill, but a hefty movement speed can keep the speedy leveling dream alive in the same way Teleport does. It's worth having.

Diablo Immortal Wizard build - best stats for gear and gems

Weapons
Armour
Gems
Damage, Intelligence, Fortitude
Intelligence, Fortitude
All Resistance (Topaz), Armor Pen (Sapphire), Damage (Tourmaline)

When gearing up your Wizard, you want to rely on the Intelligence and Fortitude stats for solid attack and defence options. On weapons, raw damage should always come before additional sub-stats.

If you have a stack of gems from other leveling ventures, here's what you'll want to do with them as a Wizard in Diablo Immortal.

The best Diablo Immortal Wizard leveling build should look to the trusty Topaz as its core gem choice. Though Resistance isn't the most exciting stat, the deaths proper defense can fend off will speed up the whole process noticeably.

Second to that is the Sapphire, which gives the Armor Penetration you'll need to melt through larger enemies and bigger packs with ease. Lastly, the Tourmaline's fixed Damage stat won't be immediately noticeable, but it's worth having above any we haven't mentioned just yet.

Best Legendary gems for Wizard in Diablo Immortal

Legendary Gem Priority
Everlasting Torment
Lightning Core
Fervant Fang

When the time comes to start slotting and upgrading Legendary gems, the Diablo Immortal Wizard loves the Everlasting Torment one above all else. Delivering a powerful damage over time with each critical hit you land.

Though it's not quite as reliable as the other two picks, Lightning Core can really help the Wizard take down some larger foes if you don't mind a luck-based build. Don't rely on it to get you through the game, but Lightning Core can surprise you with a quick kill, speeding things up overall.

Lastly, if find yourself struggling with single-target damage, the Fervant Fang gem from the battle pass might be a good bet instead.

Diablo Immortal Paragon Level stats for Wizard

Paragon Page
Skills
Vanquisher
Damage, Zeal

When the time comes to assign points into the Paragon system, the Wizard follows the same steps as virtually any other class in the early stages.

To make the most of your first few points, the flat damage increase of the Vanquisher page is the way to go. From there, just slot one into Zeal. We'll update this with more steps as we head into endgame territory.

And that's all there is to say on the Diablo Immortal Wizard this early into the game. This is certainly more of a Diablo Immortal Wizard leveling build right now, but we'll be fleshing it out with PVP picks and max-level raid builds after launch. Until then, check out what we know about the Lost Ark Arcanist if you're double-dipping in that game as well.
