World of Tanks Holiday Ops 2024 - Start date

You'll be able to play the new Holiday Ops 2024 starting on 1 December at 7:00 CET. The event will run for the entire month and even into 2024, ending on 8 January at 7:00 CET.

That's roughly more than six weeks to grind the event. Plenty of time considering there's a lot of content to sink your teeth in.

A festive village to decorate

As soon as Holiday Ops 2024 starts your garage will receive a complete makeover. Now, you'll be greeted by a festive village, beautifully adorned and fully embracing the holiday spirit.

The best part is that you'll be immediately rewarded with your first gift - the Pzw.39, a Tier III Premium Czechoslovakian light tank that includes its own garage slot.

It's worth noting that if you participated in last year's Holiday Ops event, the village name you picked will carry over. You are entitled to a single name change so think carefully if you want to do it.

Commander Vinnie Jones is here!

You'll be able to find three Decoration Zones in your brand-new village (Christmas Tree, Fair, and Installation). Each of these has five levels that you can upgrade by using event-exclusive resources, completing Vinnie Jones assignments, Chaffee's Sacks, and Large Boxes.

The goal of the event is to increase your Festive Atmosphere by levelling your Decoration Zones. As we’ve mentioned, each zone has five levels, reaching the max level will grant you 50 Festive Atmosphere Points. To get all the rewards you need to max out all zones for a total of 150 Festive Atmosphere Points.

There are four different resources:

  • Rock Crystal
  • Pure Emerald
  • Warm Amber
  • Meteoric Iron

Rock Crystal and Pure Emerald can be used to level up your Decoration Zones. Warm Amber and Meteoric Iron can be used to complete Vinnie Jones assignments (more on that later). All of them, however, can be used to purchase Holiday Ops customisation rewards from previous years and Terminal Tokens so be mindful of how to spend them.

Terminal Tokens can be used at the Gift Terminal to receive random rewards so it’s a nice added bonus on top of everything you’ll be able to get.

How to get Holiday Ops 2024 resources

There are multiple ways of getting the resources required to progress in the Holiday Ops 2024 event. The best way of going about it is by completing daily missions.

Upon completing a Tier 1 mission, you will receive 450 pieces of a randomly chosen resource. A Tier 2 mission will grant you 300 pieces, and a Tier 3 mission will award you 350 pieces. Additionally, a Bonus will be added to your reward, consisting of 450 pieces of a randomly selected resource type.

On top of that, you can get resources by visiting your village daily. If you skip a day the amount of resources will accumulate so you don't have to worry about constantly logging in. Furthermore, you can visit up to two different villages daily for extra resources.

Finally, Large Boxes will also grant a set amount of resources, so there are plenty of ways to farm them. Holiday Ops 2024 will offer a resource converter, meaning that in case you gather too much of one you don't have a lot of use for, you can trade it for another one.

One more thing, notice how we mentioned Chaffee's Sacks? The lovable dog will make his triumphant return. He'll bring easy to complete daily missions to give you extra rewards in return. If you decide to spend in-game currency buying him treats, he’ll hand you extra Sacks per day, up to four. Rewards include decals, a 2D style, and even World of Tanks premium access.

Vinnie Jones assignments

Of course, the guest Commander has plenty of tasks for you to tackle during Holiday Ops 2024. Vinnie Jones isn't messing about and has brought both missions and assignments.

There will be a total of 28 missions which can be completed in Randoms and Grand Battles using Tiers IV vehicles and up. On the other hand, assignments are completed by handing Vinnie Warm Amber and Meteoric Iron.

There will be 20 assignments in total. These need to be completed one by one in order as each will unlock different Vinnie Jones dialogue options so you won't want to miss them.

Rewards

Holiday Ops 2024 features an incredible amount of rewards for players who decide to put in the time. So much so that we highly recommend checking out the official WoT Holiday Ops 2024 breakdown of every reward you'll get, including those for levelling your Festive Atmosphere, Chaffee's Sacks and both Vinnie Jones' missions and assignments.

With that said, the highlights include crew members Alba Winters, Shuangya Xuanyuan, Gwenyth Christensen, Elsa Frostherz, and Vinnie Jones, plus three Vinnie Jones-themed 2D styles (The Axe, Pain Threshold, and In the Crosshairs).
