WoW Shadowlands Pre-Patch
Some news was shared recently by the devs, in relation to Shadowlands' release date and the pre-patch date.
Check below for the formal statement made by Blizzard.
Don't worry I'll be your shoulder to cry on...

Blizzard has apparently taken into account many of the fans issues and feedback and feels that the new expansion needs polishing.
Having played the beta myself, I was really excited for the original release but I can see where they are coming from.
Some functions felt clunky and if anything I'm glad the team is listening to players and putting their experience before sticking to the release date.
There is some positive coming from this announcement, a pre-patch release date.
They stated, "In the meantime, we're excited to announce that beginning October 13 we will be releasing the Shadowlands pre-patch, which lays a lot of the groundwork for the expansion and includes our revamped character leveling, new player experience on Exile's Reach and a host of new character customisation options."
There you have it, the Shadowlands pre-patch will be going live on October 13th.
Pre-Patch Guide
The guide reads: “The gates will soon close on Battle for Azeroth PvP Season 4 with the release of the Shadowlands pre-expansion patch."
“Don’t worry though, you’ll still be able to take part in competitive PvP in a special post-season, which will end with the launch of the expansion. The new Shadowlands Season 1 will then go live shortly after the launch of Shadowlands.”
“To help you prepare for the upcoming Shadowlands pre-expansion patch and plan your adventures from now until Shadowlands arrives, we’ve compiled a variety of helpful information."
“With the pre-expansion patch, levels, items, and stats will be adjusted to make reaching a new level feel more meaningful while simultaneously making the leveling experience faster than before."
"Characters at level 120 will become level 50 after the content update. To help you understand how the change will affect your character’s level, we’ve pulled together this handy conversion table."
“With the upcoming release of Shadowlands and the leveling adjustments that come with it, we’re making a few changes to Recruit A Friend."
"Beginning with the release of the pre-expansion patch, characters who are created by a recruited friend will receive a unique 30-slot bag—the Extra-Spacious Knapsack—upon completing their adventure in Exile’s Reach as a part of the new player experience.”

Pre-Patch Download Size
Some sites have reported that the Shadowlands pre-patch will be roughly 20GBs in size.
If you have been testing the new expansion in PTR or Beta then the pre-patch could be smaller.
Fans are waiting eagerly as most of the time the devs tend to drop a pre-patch six weeks before the expansion goes live.
Nothing has been confirmed in terms of a pre-patch date but we should hear something soon!
We will update this piece when we know more!
