What to do in Gerudo Town Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The town of Gerudo is certainly a scary one. It’s located in the desert and you’ll have to fight your way through the monsters, puzzles and bosses, all the while dealing with extreme temperatures. You’ll need to stock up on both heat-resistant gear and cold-resistant food and items if you want to get there easily.

One of the best things we can recommend is to head to Kara Kara Bazaar first. Here, you’ll be able to buy the Desert Voe Handband for 450 rupees which will help out with the temperatures. We have a full guide on how to get the rest of the Desert Voe Armor Set here too.

Before you leave, make sure you climb the lighthouse too. You’ll be able to see Gerudo Town in the distance. This doesn’t seem very important, but once you get into the desert, navigating will become very difficult.

Once you’ve made it to Gerudo, you’ll notice that it seems pretty empty. There will be a few different enemies walking around, but other than that the town will be abandoned. So where do you go in Gerudo Town in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? Thankfully, the answer is pretty simple.

You’ll want to head up to the palace and find the throne room. Once there, you’ll want to go behind the throne into the classroom area. There will be a desk pedestal in the room that you’ll need to move out of the way using Ultrahand.

This will reveal a hole that you can drop into. Once you drop into the Underground Bunker, a cutscene will start to explain the situation in Gerudo Town. You’ll be introduced to Riju and finally get the quests related to uncovering the truth of the area.

Once you start going into these dangerous areas, you might want to learn how to upgrade your armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, or even how to get the Yiga Armor set. Also, you'll want to find out how to get a horse in Zelda too, as it makes traversing these areas so much easier.
