June 5 - This is everything we know about Midna's helmet right now.

Without relying on DLC this time around, there's a way you can get Midna's Helmet in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom to add to your collection of trinkets and wearables from past games. This legendary helmet takes its name from Link's faithful companion in Twilight Princess and offers Gloom resistance that can help in plenty of situations.

However, Midna’s Helmet is located a bit out of ways - deep in a place where you'll wish you already had it. Returning players from Breath of the Wild may remember Eventide Island. However, there is a twist to this island which has you face a horde of enemies before you can get Midna’s Helmet in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to get Midna's Helmet in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you can discover Midna's Helmet in the coliseum in the Depths beneath Eventide Island. To reach it, you'll have to search for the specific chasm that leads to it, known as the Eventide Island Chasm, at the southeastern tip of the game map.

Reaching the coliseum

If you have visited Lurelin Village, you'll have noticed another landmass across the Necluda Sea. This is Eventide Island, and it's located right above a chasm. You can construct a boat or hovercraft to reach it with ease, or glide on over from a high point like a Skyview Tower or archipelago if you can find a way up.

The smaller of the two islands on the right side is where the chasm is located, and you can simply dive inside once you’re there.

What to do in the Chasm

Once you descend into the depths, illuminate a path ahead. You will see a large wall blocking your path and an entrance on the left side. As you approach the entrance, you should see a chest with a red aura in the middle of the Coliseum arena.

Inside the arena, the doors will lock, and you will have to face waves of various Gloom-corrupted enemies, including Bokoblins and Lizalfos. Defeat all of them and open the chest to get Midna's Helmet.

Is Midna's Helmet good in Tears of the Kingdom?

Mida's Helmet boasts a +7 armor rating while also providing a degree of Gloom resistance. That'll make it a potent piece of equipment for any fight against Gloom monsters. It's a great way to take on the issue in the Lost Woods, for example.
