With Tears of the Kingdom now having arrived, most Legend of Zelda fans have spent the majority of the past couple of weeks relentlessly exploring the picturesque plains of Hyrule.
Lots of players seem to have been dedicating the majority of their time in the game to building and sharing interesting contraptions that can unleash waves of destruction, help solve platforming puzzles, or make exploration easier.
If your resource pool is starting to dwindle a bit following the nerfing of duplication glitches by the game’s latest update and you’re desperate to build something really useful with the meagre supplies you have left, you might want to follow the advice of some players on Reddit.
What's your go-to vehicle build in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
These vehicle-based views from members of the community that's created Hylian Segways and killer Beyblades can be found in a recent thread on the subreddit r/tearsofthekingdom, which was kicked off by user Shreebington, who shared an image of a dual-fan airbike and declared it: “The true MVP of Tears of the Kingdom.”
A whole bunch of fellow Hylian engineers seemed to agree with their assessment of the easy-to-build contraption, with user wiisportspro- quipping: “The perfect vehicle doesn’t exi-”, while owlitup mused: “It’s missing the giant bloom seed at the front, but yes. A real homie.”
“[It’s] amazing for getting all of the light roots within the depths.” explained user TheLuckDuck, adding: “I didn’t know this bike was a mvp meta [at first]. I sort of just made something really similar on my own, and then a friend suggested that I could cut down [to just two] fans.”
Meanwhile, a couple showed the level of relationship some Zelda players have developed with their flying cycles by sharing the affectionate names they’ve given theirs, such as user Ubergaboo, who’s gone for “Zonaite Sparrow” and Chirox82, who’s settled on “Scooty-Puff Junior.”
On the other hand, user Struggle-Free lamented: “I have trouble getting it right, [it] always seems to veer right or left for me.”, to which MyFiteSong responded: “You just have to keep trying. You'll get a perfect one before long and it's worth the effort.”
If you’ve also found your bikes don’t have the best handling, a stable air bike build tutorial posted by user Rizenstrom in another thread might be able to help, or, if you’re looking for something more complex to build, why not try emulating user ClassicSpeed’s monocycle or user Visual_Tea569’s version of Star Wars’ TIE Fighter.
