With Tears of the Kingdom now having arrived, the lucky Legend of Zelda fans who didn’t have prior commitments have spent the majority of the last few days relentlessly exploring the picturesque plains of Hyrule.
Regardless of how you chose to pass the time while waiting for Nintendo’s latest release to drop or what you’ve thought of the overall experience it offers so far, odds are the array of fuse-compatible items and interesting activities on offer will keep you entertained for a good while.
While some have been busy running from Gloom Hands, lots of players seem to have been dedicating the majority of their time with the game so far to using their fuse powers to create everything from autonomous attack drones to working lawnmowers, which can now be showcased in a couple of dedicated online spaces.
Have you been searching for places to show off your Tears of the Kingdom contraptions and creations?
The first of these, spotted by Kotaku, is the website zeldabuilds.gg, which was created by Daniel Luu, the CEO of esports organisation Akrew and creator of Animal Crossing trading platform Nookazon. It mainly serves as a repository for displaying builds ranging from combat buggies to skateboards, along with the lists of materials required to re-create them in your own game.
That said, Luu has just added a couple of brand new features to it, in the form of the ability to “tag your builds if they're effective against specific monsters or challenges” and lists of which Zonai devices can be found at each of the game’s dispensers.
The zeldabuilds creator outlined these updates, the former of which currently seems to be experiencing some teething issues, in a post on the subreddit r/HyruleEngineering. This space is also dedicated to Tears of the Kingdom creations, has recently eclipsed 5k total members, and serves as a great place to post your creations or seek building advice.
Among the interesting contraptions recently posted in the latter space are user SchmittFace’s impressive “bipedal walker using piston mechanics” and DougRugras’ attempt at building an off-road vehicle with independent suspension thad could handle scrambling across the bumps and rocks of Hyrule’s countryside.
So, if you’re dedicating most of Link’s time to assembling a variety of complex contraptions, you certainly aren't short of places to share and discuss whatever you’ve decided to fuse into existence.
