Cyberpunk 2077 is finally getting released on the 10th December 2020.
After so much heartache, so many promises broken and so many delays announced, we're finally getting our hands on the magical dystopia that Night City holds.
The game has been in development for roughly 10 years at this point and we'll get to see what it's all about for ourselves.
One of the key marketing strategies, and major selling strategy, for CD Projekt Red, is using celebrity A-lister Keanu Reeves as one of the main protagonists in the game.
Just a few weeks from launch, the internet's golden child has played that game and shared his thoughts.
Keanu Reeves "Loves" Cyberpunk 2077
The man that usually plays John Wick is taking on a more futuristic role in the game as he dons the persona of Johnny Silverhand.
The influential Rockerboy is the lead singer of the band Sumrai, at least he was before they broke up back in 2008.
Silverhand acts as V's guide around the city (V being the actual playable protagonist). He's seen as "digital ghost" leading us to assume that he's actually dead. A large portion of the campaign centralises on finding out what happened to Johnny.
Before you get any funny ideas, you can't romance Silverhand; so just get that out of your head right now.
According to CD Projekt Red's president and joint CEO Adam Kicinski the Matrix star has "played the game and he loves it."
This comment comes in response to a question asked in the Polish game firm's recent shareholder call.
Kicinski was asked what Keanu thought of the eagerly-anticipated sci-fi RPG. While Reeves has yet to finish the game, he's evidently enjoying what he's played so far.
How much you can read into that response is for you to decide, but I'm sure anyone will get a kick out of seeing themselves star in a video game.
