Microsoft Accepting All Refunds For Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 has only been out for a week now, but the release has been a nightmare for developers CD Projekt Red.

The backlash from players over the ample amount of bugs and glitches was only the beginning of an eventful week.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk have received the most backlash, as these versions have not been up to standards per players' expectations.

Yesterday was a massive step in the efforts to halt the spread of backlash, as Sony made an iconic move in removing Cyberpunk from their online store.

When this will return is unknown as of now.

But now it appears Microsoft is taking action, but it is not as drastic as Sony's moves.

Here's what we know!

Statement

A new post by Xbox has confirmed that they will be approving all refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 until further notice.

This is one of the first times Microsoft has extended their refund policy, and under these circumstances, it appears they had no other choice.

Unlike Sony, however, Microsoft will not be removing Cyberpunk from their online store.

They have noted:

Cyberpunk 2077: To ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to anyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store, until further notice.

While we know the developers at CD PROJEKT RED have worked hard to ship Cyberpunk 2077 in extremely challenging circumstances, we also realize that some players have been unhappy with the current experience on older consoles.

To date, we have granted refunds to the vast majority of customers who have requested one. To request an Xbox refund for Cyberpunk 2077, please follow the steps listed on our Xbox refund page
