Escape From Tarkov best weapons tier list

C
D
S-tier
The top crop of weapons fall into this category, these are the best weapons available in Escape From Tarkov.
RPK
The RPK doesn't need any attachments or high modifications so it can be fired as is. This may be a stock weapon, but with the right sight/scope, it can decimate enemies in seconds.
DT MDR (7.62x51)
The MDR is just like the RPG: it does not need any modification options. It can easily hit targets from all ranges, a jack of all trades. It is compact, agile, and dangerous.
HK 416A5
Instead of the common M4, the HK is a way better option to use in a gunfight. It also offers various modification options for players who like to fiddle with their guns.
MK47
Just like the other guns mentioned above, this is a powerful gun with little modifications needed. It can be used for various purposes on the battlefield.
A-tier
The next tier are weapons that will do well in most situations but have a small flaw that prevents them from being elite.
AK 5.56x45 Models
Offers good power to defeat scav bosses or play against enemies inside buildings. These are the best alternatives when it comes to firepower.
ASh-12
With a maximum of two rounds, this gun can easily blow off the heads of your enemies.
M4A1
When this gun gets modified, it easily becomes one of the most powerful and versatile guns in the game. Unfortunately, that is the reason why it is not S-tier.
B-tier
Known as the new player tier, these weapons are good enough to get by and are mainly suitable for low-level players.
SCAR-H
Great at fighting from a mid-distance and very intimidating when brought into a firefight. It's not that practical to use for close-quarter situations though.
AUG A1/3
No modification is needed, but it can be difficult to use at a distance with its stock scopes. It is a fun weapon to use but it is not the best choice.
SKS
The SKS is a great choice for low-level players because it is capable of piercing through armour if the right ammo is used.
SAG AK
Has great precision in battles which allows players to just tap enemies and kill them quickly. Its only quirk is its single-shot feature, which will not give players strong suppressing fire.
C-tier
MCX
While this is a powerful gun, no one wants to use this. Reason? It uses .300 Blackout rounds, a type of ammo that is hard to come by. Better off with a common gun that uses ammo that can be found anywhere.
AS VAL
Best for close quarters, but it has very minimal rounds and the magazines are too small.
D-tier
Saiga-9
It's just useful for killing scavs and saving up money. Useful for pistol runs and additional low-budget ones.
M590A1
A cheap shotgun and excellent for farming cash. It is the best gun for extra security during loot runs.
E-tier
M32A1
A good grenade launcher, but it has the worst reloading and targeting time. By the time you have lined up a target, the enemies have already killed you.
MP-18
This is a one-shot one-kill gun that actually has great accuracy, but unfortunately, it can only shoot once. And reloading can be a pain.
