Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now.

The fifth chapter of the Black Ops sub-franchise is about to start its first season of post-launch content, much to the excitement of players and fans of the game.

The start of a new season brings a wealth of brand-new content to the game alongside a huge patch that usually balances a range of weaponry, perks, and so much more.

One particular Perk that players have expressed their frustrations over is Flak Jacket. Designed to increase your resistance to explosives and lethal equipment, many players are requesting for the Perk to receive a nerf.

A Flak Jacket Nerf?

Players have taken to Reddit to display just how overpowered Flak Jacket is.

One user grinding for camouflages for the Cigma-2 launcher fired it directly at an opponent using the Perk, and the shot did minimal damage, enabling the player to make an escape from the room. The user fires another shot in a last-ditch effort to score the elimination, but Flak Jacket came in clutch once again.

A little bit of resistance to an explosion is fair enough but full protection from two Cigma-2 hits is ever so slightly ridiculous.

Treyarch Is Listening

Although players are frustrated with the strength of Flak Jacket, Black Ops Cold War developer Treyarch has been listening to the feedback.

Community Manager Josh Torres has taken to Reddit to address some of the concerns raised, seemingly suggesting that Flak Jacket will be a part of the balancing update likely to arrive on December 10th.

This is great news for those wanting to work their way through the camo challenges towards the coveted Dark Matter camo.

A nerf will likely cause a shift in the metagame, enabling other Perks to be used in place of Flak Jacket, which has become an essential piece of a loadout when constantly among the action.
