Since the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, news surrounding Call of Duty: Warzone has been relatively quiet, until now!
As we approach the release of Season One for Black Ops Cold War and the launch of a brand-new level progression system which links Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and Modern Warfare together, the popular free-to-play battle royale is set to receive new content.
The content was first teased on the Season One roadmap, stating a “Classified Warzone Experience” would be arriving in Season One.
The image used contained a Russian phrase which was quickly translated to reveal the potential return of Rebirth Island, a Soviet base that was used to develop Nova 6 gas, the gas widely believed to be used to shrink the map during a Warzone match.
With Season One just around the corner, a leak has seemingly confirmed that Warzone will be heading to Rebirth Island.
Rebirth Island Confirmed
Notable Call of Duty Leaker @BlackOpsLeaks has posted what appears to be a title image for Rebirth Island.
The image shows the island in the background which contains a mixture of large industrial buildings and warehouses alongside some open spaces.

Rebirth Island Release Date
A Warzone event is scheduled to take place at some point during the course of Season One.
It is widely believed that the nuclear device found in Bunker 11 will be launched, making way for a Cold War-themed iteration of Verdansk.
Rebirth Island could well be used as a holding station for players while a new-look Verdansk is added into the game. Although Rebirth Island does look significantly smaller than Verdansk, it could easily lend itself to some fast and furious battle royale action!
There has been no official release date confirmed by Infinity Ward, Treyarch, or Activision but it is likely that we will see Rebirth Island added into Warzone during Season One.
