Fortnite is the game where dreams come true (for the most part), but is the Dr Disrespect Fortnite skin a real thing, or is it just another publicity stunt pulled by the two-time?
Content creators getting their own Fortnite skins is not unheard of, in fact, it's a pretty common thing. Epic Games likes to pay tribute to those streamers who have helped propel its battle royale to the top of the Twitch charts.
Of course, the most popular case is that of Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. At one point the king of Twitch and Fortnite, Ninja was the recipient of the third ICON series skin and the first-ever for a streamer in 2020.
Since then, the likes of Loserfruit, TheGrefg, Lachlan, and even Fortnite World Cup champion Bugha have gotten ICON series skins. Could Dr Disrespect be next?
Via social media, the still-mysteriously-banned Twitch streamer shared a tease at what appears to be his very own Fortnite skin, including several cosmetics to compliment his iconic red vest, sunglasses, and outlandish hairstyle.
There are a few things that give away the fact that this is the work of a very talented 3D artist. First of all, if Dr Disrespect were to get a skin, it would fall under the ICON series banner, not labelled a Legendary skin.
Even if it were marked as a Legendary skin, the colour palette for that tier of cosmetics is orange, not red as seen in the clip above. Finally, the current locker UI in Fortnite is vastly different from the one depicted in the video.
On top of all that, recent leaks that suggested Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 could have a Greek mythology theme to it popped up not too long ago. Surely, if the leakers had found an upcoming ICON series skin inspired by Dr Disrespect they would've made it public, which was not the case.
So there you have it, sadly if you're a Doc fan, chances are you won't be rocking the two-time's skin in Fortnite. If you want to see some cool skins you can get, check out the current Chapter 5 Season 1 battle pass.
