It seems that the voice actor behind Far Cry 3’s infamous villain, Vaas, may not be completely done with the character.
The man behind Vaas Montenegro, who arguably, is the biggest and most sinister antagonist in Far Cry history, was found on Reddit replying to fans and discussing his connection with Vaas.
Michael Mando, a man also known for playing complex criminals, put his everything (and a lot of incredible improvising) into the character to really bring Vaas to life, and it still gets him recognised in public.
Far Cry 3 came out over 8 years ago, meaning it would be fair to assume that Mando has moved past that role.
Well, you'd be wrong to assume this, according to the Mando, who told a fan on Reddit that he may actually reprise his role as Vaas soon.
“Vaas is my spirit animal – having co-created that character is something that will always be dear to me,” Mando explained. “I still get recognized as Vaas, and I still feel the outpouring of love for that character – makes me very happy. Who knows… maybe I will reprise the role very soon? :p Thank you for watching xo.”
There is no way Ubisoft is anywhere near done with Far Cry, especially considering how well Far Cry 5 did, the REAL definition of insanity, would be to refuse this man another game!
It’s interesting that the man who voiced Vaas, says Vaas isn’t dead. Could he be referring to a future Far Cry? It would be great to run into Vaas again, sort of how New Dawn (spoiler alert) gave us an almost rehabilitated Father.
