Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is coming to Steam a lot sooner than we thought, as the previously mobile-only gacha game comes to PC next week. In addition to this unique retelling of the FF7 story, Square Enix is also giving fan-favorite Tifa a cute new costume fitting for the holidays.

The official Ever Crisis Twitter account has revealed that this gacha title will be coming to Steam on December 7. Details on what makes the Steam version different haven’t been detailed, though fans are excited to see this title break free of its mobile prison.

As if that wasn’t enough, a new event called The Holy Flame’s Gift is now active on Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. Based on the short trailer released, it’s a huge Winter holiday event that will have Cloud and friends battle seasonal enemies, like a giant gingerbread man that acts like a Cactuar.

Did we also mention that Tifa gets a steamy Santa Claus outfit? Because Tifa gets a steamy Santa Claus outfit. It’s actually one of her less-revealing attires from the mobile title, though she still looks great and that’s all that matters.

Ever since Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis for mobile devices, fans have always wanted it on PC and console. Despite being a gacha title filled with microtransactions, old-school fans love this is a more faithful remake of the PS1 classic, thanks to simplified models and turn-based battles.

That’s not to say fans aren’t excited for the Remake saga, as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming sooner rather than later. Slated for a February 29, 2024 release, Rebirth improves on Remake’s weaknesses, giving fans a big world to explore, filled with secret bosses and fun mini-games. Zack Fair from Crisis Core is also going to be playable, as he gets a chapter with those annoying Whisper monsters.
