The launch of Modern Warfare 2 is on the horizon much to the excitement of fans. As Infinity Ward continues unveiling more intel on what the game has in store, the number of leaks is starting to slow down.
As attention begins to turn toward the Call of Duty Next event, a full breakdown of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will take place, sharing more information on several new innovations expected to arrive.
With a few weeks before the big reveal, a new leak showcases brand-new vehicle mechanics likely arriving in the campaign, multiplayer, and the heavily-rumoured DMZ mode.
New vehicle innovations
A short clip posted by Twitter user @3rbbcod shows a player jumping from one moving vehicle to another before throwing the driver out of the truck to take the wheel.

Additionally, the video showcases an all-new damage system where specific parts of the truck turn red to signify which areas are broken.
The short clip also confirms the presence of the AK-47 assault rifle, a gun that’s featured in every single Modern Warfare title since 2007. Alongside the ability to hijack a moving car, players can lean out the window and fire on their intended target with a clear line of sight.
Gameplay appears to come from a campaign mission, leaving players wondering if the new mechanics will find their way into multiplayer modes such as Ground War where vehicles play a crucial role in navigating the battlefield.

As always, it’s important to take leaks with a pinch of salt but with Call of Duty Next a few weeks away, there’s a chance the video does provide players with an early insight as to how vehicles will function in Modern Warfare 2.
If the new damage model features in Modern Warfare 2, the likelihood of it featuring in Warzone 2 is high. Either way, we’re likely to hear more intel before the game launches in October.
