Fans of the Resident Evil franchise have been patiently waiting for the arrival of Village.

The game was showcased for the first time this week, and fans cannot wait to get their hands on it.

However, since the release of Resident Evil 3 Remake last year; fans have been awaiting news on the fourth iteration of the series to become remastered.

Now, it appears Capcom has different plans for the series as a whole after a new report has come to light.

Here's everything you need to know about the Resident Evil 4 Remake!

Overhaul

Initially, there were reports produced by VGC back in April of 2020 that alluded to the fact that Resident Evil 4 Remake would be coming sometime in 2020.

Now, brand new development has also been made by VGC noting that there appear to be massive development changes since it began back in 2018.

VGC has pointed to the fact that studio 'M-Two' has had their role largely reduced in the development of the remake.

As well, they have noted that this reduced role is in large part due to disagreements with the project vision.

Release Date

Initially, VGC reported that we could see the Resident Evil 4 Remake sometime in 2020.

Now, VGC has noted that we could see the title delayed an additional year due to these development issues.

We will have to wait and see for now.

Trailer and Gameplay

Capcom has not officially announced Resident Evil 4 Remake as of now.

We can speculate they will do this around a year before it hits shelves all over the world.

So, perhaps sometime towards the end of 2021 or even early 2022, we can expect a teaser!
