The newest instalment in the Witcher series, Wild Hunt, has secured the title of the UK's biggest release of 2015 thus far, outselling the modern cops and robbers shooter, Battlefield Hardline by 53%.
And that's not the only impressive stat from the open world RPG..
While it has matched its predecessor, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in chart placement, it has also outsold the previous 2011 title by 608%. Chart-Track, the company behind the stats, has stated that these figures are strictly based off physical sales and therefore exclude digital purchases, including PC, which could significantly swell these numbers.
The physical sales statistics also show that the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was predominantly purchased on the PlayStation, with 63% of sales being based upon the PS4, 32% upon the Xbox One, while the remaining 5% was dedicated to PC users who opted to own a physical copy.
As the Witcher 3 sits comfortably at the top of the charts, the only other notable entry amongst the top 10 would be that of Farming Simulator 15, who has earned a surprisingly comfortable second place thanks to its recent release on consoles, following its release on PC last week.
Grand Theft Auto 5 also celebrated with a total sales of over five million in the UK as well as the third spot in the rankings. While PS4 exclusive Bloodborne was the unlucky game to fall just shy of the top ten, settling in eleventh.
The full rankings read as followed: 1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 2. Farming Simulator 15 3. Grand Theft Auto 5 4. FIFA 15 5. Project Cars 6. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood 7. Battlefield Hardline 8. Mortal Kombat X 9. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 10. Destiny
