Exploring Gizeh in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? The Seat of Eternity is one puzzle you don’t want to miss.
It's a fun challenge involving Canopic Jars, clever exploration, and whip work.
This article shows how to solve the Seat of Eternity Canopic Jar puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
How To Solve the Seat of Eternity Canopic Jar Puzzle
The Seat of Eternity puzzle is an intriguing mystery in Gizeh, northwest of the Great Sphinx.
This puzzle is optional and doesn’t impact the main plot, but it offers a rewarding challenge for players seeking Adventure Points and an Ancient Relic.
Later, you can spend these points to unlock key skills for Indy.
The goal of the puzzle is to find and place the four canopic jars—Falcon, Human, Baboon, and Jackal—on the correct pedestals in the sarcophagus room.
First, you need to find the entrance to the tomb. Head northwest from the Great Sphinx and look for a hill with square holes leading to the underground complex.
You can enter the tomb in two ways: jumping through a hole covered with wooden planks, which will break when Indy lands on them, or using the safer entrance near an old campsite.
Just a heads up, if you choose the second path, wild dogs are often in that area, so it's not exactly risk-free.
Once inside the tomb, you will find a central chamber with a sealed sarcophagus.
The Falcon Canopic Jar and a note explaining the puzzle's context are right around the corner.
Place the Falcon Jar on any pressure plate in the room to activate the puzzle. Then, you can begin working on it.
The first jar you’ll need is the Falcon Canopic Jar, already in the sarcophagus room.
Although you can place it on any pedestal to start, it should end up on the one with the falcon symbol by the sarcophagus.
Keep this jar close while you search the tomb for the other three. Next up, find the Human Canopic Jar.
Exit the sarcophagus room and look for a pit in the hallway nearby. Drop into the pit, where a jar is next to a skeleton.
To retrieve it, toss the jar to the ledge, then use Indy’s whip to pull yourself up and climb out.
When you return to the sarcophagus room, set the Human Jar on the pedestal on the far left side.
Once you're done, hunt down the Baboon Canopic Jar. You probably noticed a metal rod or staff around if you were in the pit.
Carry this rod to the end of the main hallway, just outside the sarcophagus room. You will run into a wall with a crack.
Use the rod to shatter the wall and expose a secret corridor. You'll come across the Baboon Jar at the end of this passage.
You should take it back to the sarcophagus room and place it on the pedestal on the far right. Finally, you should get your hands on the Jackal Canopic Jar.
Head over to the corridor where you first saw the pit. Use your whip to swing over the pit and continue towards the locked gate at the hallway's end.
The lever above the gate can be pulled with the whip to open it. The Jackal Ja’s in there somewhere.
To transport it back to the sarcophagus room, throw the jar across the pit, swing back over, and retrieve it.
Place the Jackal Jar next to the Falcon Jar on the right side of the sarcophagus. Once the jars are in their proper spots, the sarcophagus will unlock.
Start with Human on the far left, place Falcon next, Jackal after that, and Baboon on the far right.
An Ancient Relic is waiting for you inside as your reward. By completing this puzzle, you earn a fair amount of Adventure Points, a Tomb Journal, and a mystery note.
