Croco in Bandit's Way

Mario meets a lot of colourful characters during his adventures. One of these characters is a purple crocodile in a red top hat named Croco. We’ll be going over how to catch Croco in Super Mario RPG since he steals Mallow’s precious Frog Coin early in the game.

Croco is a minor boss in Super Mario RPG that you first meet in Bandit’s Way. You will cross paths with the thieving crocodile several times throughout the story. And since Mario’s party and Croco don’t see eye to eye, a couple of those encounters will involve facing the bandit in battle.

Like most other role-playing games, Super Mario RPG will have you embark on a journey that follows an engaging narrative. To help Mario and his pals reach their objective, you’re going to want to learn how to heal and how to fast travel before you set off on your adventure.

How to catch Croco in Super Mario RPG

To catch Croco in Super Mario RPG, you’ll need to chase him down in Bandit’s Way. Bandit’s Way is a forested area just outside of Mushroom Kingdom.

While tracking Croco, you’ll need to approach him without being seen, otherwise, he’ll run off to a different location. This can be a little trickier than it sounds, especially with all the Goombas and flying Koopas roaming around the area.

There’s no need to walk as you’re approaching Croco, as long as you can get behind him undetected. Don’t try jumping on him either or else he’ll take off and you’ll need to look for him again.

Once you get close enough to the bandit, press the A button. You will need to do this three times to progress the story. Prepare for a fight with Croco after catching up with him the third time.
