It feels as though life sim games are popping in and out of the ether nowadays, but KRAFTON's InZOI promises to be different and stand out from the crowd with its hyper-realistic art style and gameplay variety.

Officially revealed in November 2023, InZOI is being developed and published by KRAFTON, the minds behind games like PUBG, Subnautica, and TERA.

With this gaming hub, we'll answer all your need-to-know questions about InZOI, from its release date, trailers, and a whole lot more.

What is InZOI?

InZOI is a life simulator game where players play as God,giving them full control of everything and anything they wish while experiencing a spectrum of different stories.

As described by the official InZOI website, KRAFTON's desire for players is that "through the diverse life experiences in inZOI, we hope to share with users that life itself is a significant gift, and the entire process of life is meaningful."

To summarize, InZOI will allow you to create characters, build lots, strengthen relationships, and even drive. The way to play the game is to experience everyday life.

InZOI Release Date Estimate

InZOI currently does not have a confirmed release date outside of KRAFTON stating that the game would release sometime in 2024.

From what we can tell from InZOI's official website, as well as several other social media pages like X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube, InZOI seems to be progressing nicely in the development stage. That said, back in April this year, the content in InZOI was described as "underwhelming", so it seems as though there's plenty of stuff still needing to be worked on.

With the aforementioned in mind, we would speculate that a release date estimate for InZOI would be sometime in Winter 2024.

If this release date changes, either by being moved back, forward, or fully confirmed, we'll update our hub accordingly with all of the new details. So be sure to keep an eye out!

InZOI Platforms

At the time of writing, the only platform that KRAFTON has confirmed for InZOI is PC.

While this is disappointing for players who prefer to play on console, it does make sense as even The Sims didn't end up on console until much later in the series development.

Furthermore, if InZOI is successful, then there is a likelihood that it may eventually come to console. After all, KRAFTON does have experience with developing games for both PC and console.

InZOI Character Customization

InZOI will have an in-depth character creation system that, from the looks of the official roadmap overview trailer, will be authentic and diverse for all body types, genders, and cultures.

What was shown of the character creation revealed that nail art would also be possible and that the depth and length of hair could be changed on a singular hairstyle. The same goes for dying, where you can pick and choose where to apply hair dye to your character.

Accessories also seem to be included, with the character creator showing off hats, glasses, and jewelry.

Unfortunately, we did not see whether other customization for pronouns and nicknames would be an option. We'll be sure to update this guide with more information when it comes.

InZOI City Customization and Editing

InZOI will allow players to change the city, from its overall cleanliness to the different seasons.

The changing of seasons is not usually done at the click of a button, but due to the player's role of God in InZOI, you're able to change the city your characters inhabit quite a bit. Through sliders, what was a city in a snowstorm can be transformed into a hot, sunny day.

Players will be able to change the settings of billboards around the city, swapping them with YouTube videos. They can also pick and choose which foliage and wildlife will appear within the city at set times. You can even change how clean or dirty the city is and whether it's easy or not to start fires.

No matter what, you're able to create the environment surrounding your characters. They can either thrive, or get left behind. It's entirely up to you as God of this world.

InZOI Cars and Driving

InZOI will allow players to own cars, but to drive and customize them to their heart's content.

You can drive in first-person and third-person, and even look inside your car as your character drives to their location. Players will also be able to pick people up along the way, though we're unsure if the player character will need to have a relationship with the driver for that interaction to be successful.

Even better, you'll be able to show off your car to others and even give it a little wash if it gets dirty. And if you drive a convertible, people will begin to take notice of you.

However, there are some downsides to driving and cars. You can get into a car accident, which may cause your character to die in the process.

That's all we know about InZOI so far, but we'll update this hub on the regular with the latest news as soon as it becomes available.
