Pokémon Go: How to find Unova Stones

As mentioned above, there are generally two methods to get Unova Stones. The first one is more suitable for those who are used to taking part in battles and beating the enemies. So if you are an experienced player with a powerful team, it is just for you.

The second one is better suited for beginners who have not progressed in the game that much.

1. Beat Team Go Rocket Leaders

The first and more effective method is to defeat the bad guys, the representatives of Team Go Rocket Leaders. If you have a powerful team, and you learn your opponents well, you can find and defeat them from time to time. You can get Unova Stones as a reward, but it's not a 100% drop, so you may have to fight them several times. Don't worry, though, because Team Go Rocket Leaders also drop a bunch of other useful loot and items, and for defeating Giovanni, their leader, you can even get a Legendary Pokémon.

Field Research Breakthroughs

The second method is no less effective but more time-consuming. Your main goal will be to complete the weekly Field Research Breakthroughs. Since these tasks refresh every week, you will have quite a bit of time to complete them all. As a reward for completing the task, you can get useful rare items and loot, including Unova Stones. It is worth noting that Unova Stones may not be among the rewards of the week, so in such cases, you will need to wait for the next one or use an alternative way to get this item.
