If you think that 2024 was a roller coaster ride for gaming, 2025 already has started to roll into its tracks. Apparently, there is now a DEI rating for every game you love on this one particular website.
Shared on X by @airbagged, there's a website that will rate your favorite game based on its DEI factor. Games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as Far Cry 6, now have DEI ratings ranging from "Based" to "Ultra Woke".
It would appear that these ratings aim to help the consumer decide whether to buy the game based on its DEI rating. These ratings are user-submitted, similar to how Steam Reviews work.

One fellow X user shared that the website gave Black Myth: Wukong a DEI rating of 3.6/10, bringing it to the "Slightly Woke" category. A game about the Chinese mythology involving monkeys, boars, wolves, tigers, rats, birds, spiders, bears, and whatever creature you can think of is "Slightly Woke" according to the website.
As of writing, the website deiwatchdog.com is currently undergoing maintenance, probably due to many users flooding the site. Whether it is about checking the DEI rating of their favorite Halo game or submitting a DEI review for Detroit Become Human, we'll never know but one thing is sure: the website can't be accessed at the moment.
Hopefully, the website will go online so that curious gamers can see how the website's DEI rating works.
From male character scores like "Manly Men" and "Sensitive Boys" to female character scores such as "Hot & Sexy" to "Covered & Strong", the website adds these scores to give a final DEI score.
This factor might be important to some but websites like Metacritic and OpenCritic have a much more comprehensive rating system and reviews that can help you decide whether to buy a game or not.
Whether you want to use this DEI rating or other review sources to help you with your next gaming purchase, be sure to stay updated with the latest gaming news and stories by following Gfinity Esports.
