January 6, 2022: Even with the latest patch, there's still no word on when we might expect the Genshin Impact Arlecchino character to launch.

Looking for some info on the leaked Genshin Impact Arlecchino character? While you're a little too early for a build guide or anything quite as in-depth as that, it's good to get into the habit of farming materials for unreleased characters well ahead of time.

That said, precise details are especially thin on the ground this time around. Leaked as part of the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.4 update by a prominent figure in the community, all we know so far is that this new character is getting closer and closer to an official reveal.

Though we don't have a lot of Arlecchino info right now, we do have builds for the current Genshin Impact 2.3 banner characters. That means we have the best builds for Albedo and Eula, Bennett, Noelle, and Rosaria. But if you're just prepping for the next leg of new characters, we also have a Gorou build and an Arataki Itto build as well.

In Genshin Impact, Arlecchino could refer to the first Fatui Harbinger.

Who Is Genshin Impact Arlecchino?

When the leaks first surfaced, Arlecchino was by far the most puzzling piece of the lot. For many, it was their first time hearing the word, and it wasn't immediately clear that it was actually the name of a potential new character.

As it stands, Arlecchino is believed to be the missing Fatui Harbinger. Like Tartaglia and Scaramouche, it's likely this new character is part of the upper-echelon of the Fatui forces and one of the Tsarisa's lieutenants. There's even reason to believe he could be the very first Harbinger. The same one who sent Scaramouche to Liyue during the Unreconciled Stars event, recruited Dottore and Signora, and pinned Tartaglia's Delusion on him when the time came to do so.

Though the new name, Arlecchino, doesn't quite match the name Pierro, which we've attributed to the first Harbinger in the past, it still fits the Italian naming conventions of the game's Fatui army. Each previously revealed Harbinger has represented a well-known "mask" of Italian culture, with Arlecchino (or Harlequin) being one of the most prominent of the bunch. In fact, Scaramouche has been known to refer to someone as the "Jester" in passing. In retrospect, this could have been an early mention of the leaked character.

It's not known if Pierro has been changed to Arlecchino or whether it's another alias, like how Childe and Tartaglia are interchangeable names for the same character. More recent leaks and rumours purport to Arlecchino running an orphange where many past, present, and future harbingers could stem from.

Others suggest that while the character still has no model in the game files for the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.4 update, numerous NPCs will mention the character in their dialogue and stories.

What Weapon Does Arlecchino Use?

It's still far too early to speculate about the type of weapon Arlecchino might use. Given we still haven't had to fight Scaramouche, the second Fatui Harbinger to make a serious appearance, it could be a long time yet before we need to worry about how Arlecchino will battle.

What Element Does Arlecchino Use?

Again, it's still far too early to figure out which element Arlecchino will possess. And given Fatui Harbingers typically use two elements (one Vision and one Delusion), it's currently difficult to speculate on both.

When Is the Genshin Impact Arlecchino Release Date?

Given the leaks, we expect Arlecchino to release at some point in Genshin Impact update 2.4. That should arrive sometime in late December if the game's six-week update schedule isn't affected by the holidays.

But don't think you'll be playing as the new potential Harbinger at that point. Over a year on from the game's release, we can still only play as one of these powerful Fatui fighters. With a total of 13 scattered around Teyvat, it could be a long while until we get to go toe-to-toe will this new face. Actually wishing to add them to your team could be much further off.
