Now that it’s emerged from early access, Baldur’s Gate 3 has already surpassed a lot of expectations, having attracted a huge amount of players keen to embark on the journey to its highest levels.
Despite some bizarre achievement issues and unhappiness over the endings on offer for one of its key characters, the general verdict on the game has been extremely positive, and its modding scene is already in full swing.
Up until some issues with its latest hotfix have put many of their plans on hold, some players were attempting romance% speedruns or making an effort to hoard every item in the game. Interestingly, it seems that these antics are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to spicing up your BG3 playthrough.
How much chaos have you been causing in Baldur’s Gate 3 so far?
Warning: Spoilers for the main story of Baldur’s Gate 3 may lie ahead.
In the case of Reddit user caufenkamp, with the help of a weight mod, they’ve been keeping busy by carrying the corpses of every single NPC they killed during the game’s first Act to a single house and piling them all up, casually providing small updates as they went.
“[I] just always thought it would be cool to see a visualisation of all those you fight in a game,” they revealed of their motivation for taking on the challenge in their first post about it.
As some of their fellow players have pointed out in the thread below their latest post, they’ve even gone to the trouble of neatly sorting the bodies into separate sections, which are seemingly based on the kind of race or creature they are.
“[I] kept having animals and some creatures disappear on me, so there's quite a bit missing. [It] also [happened with] big mobs as well,” caufenkamp explained in a comment, adding that by the time they made it to the end of the Act, they were at around level eight.
Unfortunately, they were unable to include the likes of ogres and minotaurs in their display, lamenting: “they are too heavy to pick up,” an issue which some helpful peers have suggested could be solved by using a telekinesis spell.
Caufenkamp isn’t the only one who’s been craving a path of destruction through the game’s world either, with YouTuber Okoii having decimated it via one of the most devastating satisfying barrel explosion chains you’ll ever see.
