Beat Saber
On the front of fun and exciting VR titles, there seems no finer place to start than Beat Saber.
It's arguably one of the best VR games out there regardless with a captivating yet challenging user experience. That all comes wrapped up with some fantastic gameplay that's sure to get you active.
As a game based on rhythm, the music present on Beat Saber is also integral, and there's a wide variety of songs on both the base games and additional packs that have seen tracks from the likes of Lady Gaga added in the past.

Hitman III
Hitman III isn't a standalone VR game as such but is a marvellous VR port of the classic series involving Agent 47.
Here, VR changes the game's perspective from third to first person, which can truly immerse the player within the maps that they already know so well from previous games. It allows for a rather engaging VR experience and adds in a new angle to get used to.

In addition, you essentially get three games in one, as the entire World Of Assassination trilogy is included in Hitman III, so it allows you to also revisit other classic maps from previous games including Paris, Sapienza, New York and the Isle Of Sgail, alongside newer ones like Dubai and Dartmoor.
Blood & Truth
On the subject of immersive FPS titles in VR, Blood & Truth is one of the best options out there.
What you'll find here is a nice blend of classic shooter action with an engaging spy story that features plenty of recognisable film tropes.
There's everything from car chases to corridor battles present which places you right in the middle of a Hollywood blockbuster, except it's in VR.
Blood & Truth's looks to be equally fun thanks to that action-packed story, and when it comes to those gunfights, you'll need to reload weapons properly, which definitely increases the immersion factor in what is already quite a captivating game.
I Expect You To Die 2
The subject of spies and film tropes also brings us nicely to I Expect You To Die 2.
This offers a more wacky, Roger Moore-Bond style take on the genre in VR, mixing odd missions with some clever puzzle gameplay to create a clever blend that works well in virtual reality.
There are all sorts of fun missions available to play, including defeating four assassins in the middle of a theatre and crashing a party all from the cellar of building with wine bottles, mines and masks, which sounds fun.
I Expect You To Die 2 is a clever and fun puzzle game with plenty of challenge to it that's sure to please a fair amount of people.

Borderlands 2 VR
Borderlands 2 VR is a VR port of the classic shoot and loot title from 2012 that still features the same classic charm, but now with added immersion thanks to virtual reality.
The entire map of Pandora is rendered in nice detail with the game's signature illustrative art style rendered wonderfully. In addition, the same story is present with its clever dialogue and comedic timing, which is always a bonus.
You'll also find that character skill trees in Borderlands 2 VR have been updated to make them stronger for solo players which also helps to make the game that little bit sharper.
There are some new fun mechanics including 'Bad Ass Fun Mega Time', or BAMF for short, that allows you to slow down time and kill enemies in slow motion, which is a fun little addition for virtual reality, it must be said.
Astro Bot Rescue Mission
Changing the tune entirely, Astro Bot Rescue Mission is a bright 3D platformer centred around a series of robots whose VR visor gets stoled and it's your job with Captain Astro to get it back.
The gameplay is nice and fun with a classic feel to it, but with just enough challenge to keep you interested throughout its duration.
Platforming looks to keep you on your toes as to where to go next whilst the final bosses at the end of each level are unique but beatable and get harder as the game goes on, which is always handy.
The biggest exhibition of the power of Astro Bot Rescue Mission in VR though comes in the clever camera that helps to add an edge to this platformer by adding another element of challenge as you have to move around in order to see what to do and what is going on.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
We've discussed Resident Evil 7: Biohazard on our best VR horror games list before, but given how good of a game it is in a general sense, it also made sense to put it here, too.
A total campaign time of 12 hours makes this one of the longer dedicated VR titles out there, but one that allows you to become truly immersed in what's going on around you.
You'll want to take notice of this, especially given that you'll find this is a properly immersive horror title with nice, slow pacing, well-positioned jump scares and some clever puzzles that are sure to keep you occupied.
Sniper Elite VR
Sniper Elite VR is a marvellous VR port of the brilliant wartime sniper series that brings with it its signature notions of fun gameplay, gory shooting and added immersion.
This particular iteration is set in Southern Italy, which makes a change from some of the prior locations of Berlin and Africa in previous games, but does provide a degree of continuity to Sniper Elite IV.
The combat here is enjoyable and will be familiar to anyone who has played a Sniper Elite game before, with players being awarded points based on how difficult the kills are.
Sniper Elite VR also retains the series' positively gory killcam, so now you can see when you blow an enemy's brain out in full detail in VR.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR
Skyrim VR allows you to experience the classic open-world RPG game that you know and love from a completely new perspective.
You should experience excellent immersion while gaming as this game boasts an unparalleled sense of depth and scale.
Battle dragons, explore caves and complete quests like never before in this open-world VR adventure.
Plus, there are a ton of brilliant mods for Skyrim, that allow you to experience the game in creative new ways.

Superhot VR
Superhot VR is another standout VR game that we think is worth checking out on PSVR.
This title features a mix of both strategy and chaos as you're placed in a world where time moves only when you move.
Battle your way through as you're outnumbered, looting fallen enemies if you can.
If you're a fan of the original game, diving into this re-imagined VR version could be the way to go.
Gran Turismo Sport
One of the best use cases, in general, is when using it for sim racing, and Gran Turismo Sport provides a nicely immersive and realistic experience for PSVR.
There's a marvellous selection of cars present, meaning you can drive everything from supercars to small hot hatches and everything in between.
When it comes to tracks, expect to find the usual Polyphony blend of real-world circuits you'll know like Silverstone, Spa, Mount Panorama and Goodwood alongside more fictional offerings like the Broad Bean Raceway and Alsace.
In addition, you could also pair your VR headset with a brilliant racing wheel to provide an even higher level of immersion in Gran Turismo Sport, which would definitely take things to the next level, that is at least until Gran Turismo 7 is available in VR.
So, there you have it, that's our list of top picks for PlayStation VR games.
