As the waves of zombies become fiercer in Black Ops 6 Zombies, the basic stats of weapons aren’t enough to cope. Standard weapons work in early rounds but become less effective later, so upgrades are needed to avoid overrun.
Thankfully, the Pack-a-Punch machine still has a strong legacy as a powerful upgrade tool for improving weapons in higher rounds. This article explains how to find and use the Pack-a-Punch machine in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
How To Pack-a-Punch in Black Ops 6 Zombies
To access the Pack-a-Punch in Black Ops 6 Zombies, you’ll need to follow slightly different steps depending on whether you’re on the Liberty Falls or Terminus map.
Here’s how to Pack-a-Punch on each:
Liberty Falls Pack-a-Punch
Begin in Liberty Falls by collecting around 7,500 Essence to open the paths to the Pack-a-Punch machine.
You also need an extra 5,000 Essence for the upgrade itself. Unlock the Motor Lodge barrier for 1,500 Essence.
Afterward, proceed through Fuller’s Liberty Lanes by unlocking the bowling alley access door to reach the outdoor area, which costs another 1,750 Essence.
Next, go up the stairs to the church and expect to spend another 2,000 Essence. Then, approach the church entrance, where the Dimensional Membrane is blocking the way.
Pay 2,250 Essence again to pass through, transporting you to the Dark Aether. Inside, you’ll find the Pack-a-Punch machine against the church's back wall.
Every upgrade increases your weapon’s power, gives it visual effects, and sometimes adds sound effects to enhance the gameplay experience.
Terminus Pack-a-Punch
Unlocking the Pack-a-Punch machine on the Terminus map requires activating power at multiple locations. This means you must power up three AMP Generators, which are situated at specific sites.
Start by heading to the Guard Station to activate the first generator, which costs 500 Essence and must be defended from purple-eyed zombies for 30 seconds.
Move to the Living Quarters, clearing the necessary barriers for an additional 1,750 Essence to reach the second generator. Like the first, this one must be defended to stay operational.
Finally, proceed to the Bio Lab and clear obstacles along the way, requiring another 7,500 Essence to unlock all necessary areas. Once all AMP stations are activated, make your way to the water area in the Bio Lab.
Dive down to activate the Inclined Lift for another 500 Essence, bringing the Pack-a-Punch machine to the surface. Be aware that the machine may change locations as the rounds progress.
Rarity System and Costs
For both maps, the Pack-a-Punch upgrades come in three tiers:
- Tier 1 – 5,000 Essence
- Tier 2 – 15,000 Essence
- Tier 3 – 30,000 Essence
It’s wise to enhance your weapon’s rarity beforehand to get the most out of Pack-a-Punch. Rarity levels are as follows:
- Common (Green) – Base level
- Rare (Blue) – Moderate upgrade
- Epic (Purple) – High power boost
- Legendary (Orange) – Maximum strength
Rarer weapons can be obtained from Wall-Buys or Mystery Boxes and scaled up with rounds. They deliver extra impact when Pack-a-Punched.
Upgrading weapon rarity can be essential for handling tougher enemies like mini-bosses and armored zombies.
Having rarer, Pack-a-Punched weapons will give you a significant edge in later rounds, increasing your survival odds and making Exfil easier.
