Black Ops 6 is the latest addition to the Call of Duty Franchise. Players get to see beloved characters back in action, taking on a larger group of enemies known as Pantheon. Ditching the traditional branched campaign storyline, Black Ops 6 follows a linear campaign, making it all the more interesting.

The game introduces a new mechanic called Omnimovement, allowing players to unleash their imagination with running, diving, and sliding stunts. Additionally, the fan-favorite round-based Zombies mode returns, adding to the excitement.

The Zombies game mode can be frustrating, especially for new players just starting. This is why this guide helps players learn the basics. Here is everything you need to know about the Zombies mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 6.

Starting Tips

Here are some of the things you’ll need to know before starting the game:

Find The Right Loadouts

It doesn’t matter which game mode of Call of Duty you’re playing; you’ll always need the best loadout to navigate. A great loadout can get you out of tight situations, especially in Zombies, where bloodthirsty creatures will stop at nothing to taste your soul.

Customize your loadout before jumping into any Zombies match. A significant advantage is that weapon unlocks and progression will also transfer to Multiplayer. Equip as many attachments as possible, as you’ll begin with a common rarity version of your weapon.

Research Augments

You can activate and research different Augments and unlock them in Call of Duty Black Ops 6. These items will provide useful Perks, Field Upgrades, and Ammo Mods, allowing a much better chance at taking on these dark-souled creatures. Activate Research even if you don’t feel it’s necessary; having more Augments than none is always great.

Choose carefully, as players can only research one Augment at a time.

Here are some of the things you’ll need to do during the game:

Locate Easter Eggs and Unlock Pack-a-Punch

Pack-a-Punch is one of the most important things to unlock to survive in Zombies mode. As the rounds progress, you’ll face stronger and more difficult enemies. Pack-a-Punch helps you to increase your ability to deal significant damage to enemies.

To unlock this valuable machine on both maps, you’ll need to progress through the main quests of the Zombies Easter Egg. There are a total of two quests you’ll need to complete. For Terminus, you’ll need to complete three objectives, while you’ll only need to complete two objectives in Liberty Falls.

Remember to obtain as many Essence as possible; you’ll need 50,000 to fully upgrade your weapon using Pack-a-Punch Machines.

Upgrade Your Weapon’s Rarity

Though upgrading your weapon using Pack-a-Punch machines is a wise move, you’ll eventually need to upgrade the rarity of your Weapon. This allows you to take on hordes of enemies without wasting a lot of ammo.

To upgrade the weapon’s rarity, you’ll need to spend a hefty amount of Salvage at Arsenal Machines. You can also wait a few rounds for the Wallbuy weapon rarities to increase.

Looting Keys

Look out for Loot Keys after battling with Special Zombies. These high-tier monsters can drop these valuable items after being defeated. You can use them at the Armory in Terminus or in the Vault at Liberty Falls to acquire solid perks, weapons, and equipment free of charge.

Hit The Trials

S.A.M Trials appear across the map and are marked by a purple cloud with a beam shooting down. Find and join these trials, which are random timed challenges that offer rewards like high-quality equipment, weapons, and Aether Tools. They’re a great way to stock up on essential items for the next round.

Getting Out (Exfil)

Once you’ve had enough of the blood-thirsty demons, you can leave via exfil. After every ten rounds, you’ll have an opportunity to leave the game and get your Bonus XP along with free Gobblegums. If you ignore the opportunity, you’ll need to wait another ten rounds before exiting the area.

Look For Wonder Weapons

Wonder weapons are powerful weapons that can help you take on the strongest Zombies in the game. Different Wonder Weapons can be found on both Maps. Here is an example of the Wonder Weapons and where you’ll find them:

  • Ray Gun: This can be found in both Liberty Falls and Terminus.
  • Thrustodyne M23: Exclusively found in Liberty Falls
  • DRI-11 Beamsmasher: Can only be found in Terminus.
