Liberty Falls in Black Ops 6 is a map full of secrets, and the Aetherella Trap is one of its most intriguing features. The trap is a powerful tool players can activate to release electric charges that zap nearby zombies.
She also plays a key role in an Easter egg quest, where players have the opportunity to become her. This article outlines how to take on the form of Aetherella.
How To Turn Into Aetherella in Black Ops 6 Zombies
To turn into Aetherella, you must complete a side quest that tasks you with collecting Aetherella figures using the Jet Gun.
The goal is to find nine hidden figures scattered across the map. Before hunting down the Aetherella figures, you first need to obtain the Jet Gun (or Thrustodyne M23).
You can either try your luck with the Mystery Box or craft the weapon by collecting parts scattered around Liberty Falls.
After getting the Jet Gun, your goal is to find and suck up nine Aetherella figures hidden throughout Liberty Falls.
The figures are small statues placed in hard-to-reach spots, so you'll need to use the Jet Gun’s suction ability to collect them.
Here’s where you can find each one:
- Olly’s Comics (Figure 1-4): The first four Aetherella figures are located inside Olly’s Comics. One is on a wooden table near the back entrance, while another is on a shelf next to the Quick Revive machine. The third is on a window display to the left as you first walk in, and the final one is next to a life-size Aetherella statue.
- Yummy Freeze Rooftop (Figure 5): The fifth figure is on the Yummy Freeze rooftop. To reach it, use the zipline from the Savings & Loans Bank (aka “The Alamo”) and break through the wall to find the figure near some air vents.
- Motel Sign (Figure 6): The sixth figure is perched on the Motel sign above East Main Street. You’ll need to stand on a nearby car and use the Jet Gun to suck it up.
- Liberty Lanes Sign (Figure 7): The seventh figure can be found near the Liberty Lanes bowling alley. Climb onto the bus near the sign and look up to spot the figure on the Liberty Lanes sign.
- Washington Avenue Rooftop (Figure 8): The eighth figure is found on the rooftop of a building near the Speed Cola machine on Washington Avenue. It’s on the ledge of a Flower Shop’s window.
- Church Window (Figure 9): The final figure is at the Church. Look up toward the entrance, and you’ll find the ninth figure on a window ledge on the right column of the Church.
Once you’ve collected all nine figures, the transformation into Aetherella will happen automatically.
As Aetherella, you’ll have powerful abilities, including deadly laser optic blasts that can decimate zombies and stronger enemies like Manglers and Abominations.
The transformation lasts for 90 seconds, during which you are completely invulnerable.
Make the most of this time by taking out as many zombies as possible, especially in higher rounds where enemy difficulty spikes.
The transformation gives you a significant edge, but you’ll revert to your normal operator formonce the timer expires.
Completing this transformation enhances your gameplay experience and unlocks the World Domination Trophy.
