Picking up where Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War left off, Black Ops 6 is mainly set in the 1990s. Historically, this is when the Soviet Union was on the verge of collapse. The Gulf War escalated, and American citizens started to protest against their government’s decisions. As you may have guessed, the storyline occurs between all these major happenings.

While the juicy details of the Campaign aren’t fully known, Call of Duty has been quite open about the storyline. And for the cultural fans, this might be a game-changer. Curious? Read on!

The Storyline of Call Of Duty Black Ops 6

You discover a shadow organization named Pantheon, which, although lurking in the background to prevent their discovery, makes all the major decisions that directly affect citizens globally.

Now, they’ve infiltrated the CIA. Multiple agents who once swore to protect American lives with all their strength turned their back on American people and are now under Pantheon’s spell.

Not all of them, however.

Characters to Expect In Call Of Duty Black Ops 6

While most CIA operatives sold their souls, Frank Woods and Troy Marshall didn’t. In response to Pantheon's heathen play, they created their own Rogue Team, which will be responsible for taking down the antagonists as Black Ops 6’s Campaign unfolds.

Let’s talk about these two characters first.

Despite losing his movement, Frank Woods will play a significant role in Black Ops 6’s storyline—just not in an 'action-thriller' way. Being trained by Woods and now taking his place in the team, Troy Marshall is his successor. According to multiple reports, though, he’s not the main playable character in Black Ops 6’s Campaign.

That title belongs to William ‘Case’ Calderon, the third member of Woods’ and Marshalls’ Rogue Team.

Since he’s the main character, information about him has been kept under wraps. Nonetheless, we do know that he’s a white Caucasian male, around the age of 25 – 35, and will be in direct contact with Troy Marshall during field operations.

According to the developers, Black Ops 6’s Campaign was designed so that each mission has its own 'unique sauce.' That, and the fact that the game has been in development for four years, is bound to bring about some revolutionary additions.

The most hyped new additions to the game include Omnimovement and the Intelligent Movement Settings.

Omnimovement will allow players to slide, dive, and move in all directions without repulsion. This paves the way for faster-paced gameplay alongside split-second tactical decisions that can make or break a fight. Intelligent Movement Settings is self-explanatory. This is where you can get technical and control key aspects of your character’s movement.

Another interesting addition is Safe House, which is accessible between missions. Here, players can analyze key points of their missions, apply player upgrades to enhance their characters, and interact with NPCs.
