The month of August has come to an end and although summer is winding down, the Call of Duty complaints department is back in action once again. Throughout the month, there were several Modern Warfare 3 leaks to digest, in addition to further frustrations with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.
August saw the arrival of Season 5 Reloaded for multiplayer and the battle royale, along with the arrival of Nicki Minaj as one of several new playable Operators. Amid all the new content, Activision officially revealed Modern Warfare 3, much to the excitement of fans.

5. New game, new campaign
Following the reveal of Modern Warfare 3, players were quick to start asking questions about the game's single-player campaign.
Their curiosity quickly began to fuel some debates, as players started to speculate which key characters might die in the battle against an iconic villain.
4. Time to kill frustrations continue
The Warzone time to kill has often created conversation among players hoping Raven Software will adjust the time it takes to eliminate an opponent during a match.
Throughout Season 5, the time to kill continued to frustrate players, who claimed to have been left unable to counter opponents armed with weaponry capable of obliterating them in the blink of an eye.
3. Modern Warfare 3 health, good or bad?
Taking the third step on August's podium is the discourse resulting from Sledgehammer Games' announcement of significant health adjustments that'll be arriving with Modern Warfare 3.
Following the confirmation of a change to the default health value, players were left split, with some in favour of the planned increase and others concerned about how it will influence the pace of play.
2. The end of a Call of Duty era
In at two is the end of an era for the Call of Duty franchise. Following tweets from content creators teasing an era-defining announcement, long-time Treyarch employee David Vonderhaar confirmed his departure from the company.
Widely praised for the success of the Black Ops series, Vonderhaar introduced several innovations to multiplayer during his tenure, including the hugely popular Pick 10 system for loadout creation.
1. The return of an icon
Taking the top spot for August is something much more important than another dose of player frustration. Following Modern Warfare 3's official reveal, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the return of an iconic weapon.
The teaser marks the first time this particular weapon has appeared in Call of Duty in over a decade, much to the excitement of players patiently waiting to drop into the beta weekends in a few months.
