Ah, we love the smell of a new Destiny 2 season, the constant server downtime, the excitement of grinding a fresh season pass, and of course, getting our hands on a new exotic. For Season of the Deep, we have the Centrifuse Auto Rifle.
Auto rifles might become meta again, especially if changes to some other archetypes like SMGs end up disrupting the current status quo, and if you're a fan of Arc builds, then you can't miss out on the Centrifuse.
So, how do you get your hands on it? Well, it's actually simpler than you might think.
How to get the Centrifuse Exotic auto rifle
If you want to show off your amazing Arc build to your friends - with a shiny new toy that synergizes with it - you'll be pleased to hear that you only have to grind the season pass! Or buy the premium track if you want to get it faster.
The Centrifuse auto rifle is an instant reward for purchasing the premium track, which costs 1,200 Silver. However, if you feel forking out somewhere between $15 and $20 isn't worth it, the weapon is a reward on tier 35 of the free track path.
What does it do?
So now that you got your hands on it, time to check out how the gun actually works.
Sure, being a 450RPM AR already gives the Centrifuse a bit of a leg up in terms of feel; after all, they're one of the most fun archetypes to play with in Destiny 2, but like all other exotics, the real kicker comes with its unique perk.
Here is the exotic trait:
- Overcharge Capacitor: Sprinting, sliding, and firing this weapon builds a temporary electrostatic charge, increasing range and reload speed. Final blows with high charge cause explosions, and maximum charge explosions blind targets.
As you can see, the Centrifuse is built to take advantage of the aggressiveness of the Arc subclass, which directly favours high-speed movement and constant engagement rather than, for example, crowd-controlling with Stasis.
So there you have it! Now that you know what it does, why not check out our best PvE weapons in Destiny 2 to see how it compares?
