Have you ever wanted a rocket launcher with the handling of a sidearm? Of course you have. Luckily for you, the new The Call rocket sidearm in Destiny 2 The Final Shape is just that. While it’s already a strong weapon, having the best Destiny 2 The Call god roll in your hands really is remarkable.

Despite its incredible power, The Call isn’t one of the many new Destiny 2 The Final Shape Exotics. In fact, it’s only Legendary, but don’t let that turn you away. It’s one of the best weapons if you’re looking to take on the Destiny 2 The Final Shape missions on Legendary - which will also earn you some mouth-watering The Final Shape Legendary campaign rewards. What’s not to love?

Destiny 2 The Call God Roll PvE

The Call god roll for Destiny 2 PvE is:

  • Perk 1: Demolitionist
  • Perk 2: Desperate Measures
  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Masterwork: Velocity

Packing an incredible punch for a Legendary sidearm while also being surprisingly ammo-efficient, The Call is an S-tier weapon right now in Destiny 2 The Final Shape.

This god roll takes advantage of its strong base stats to offer up superb add-clearing and boss damage potential. Demolitionist provides strong utility, granting grenade energy with each kill. On the other hand, Desperate Measures grants increased damage from weapon final blows, with melee and grenade final blows further increasing this bonus. It’s a satisfying and powerful loop.

Meanwhile, Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, and a Velocity Masterwork all act to increase The Call’s bullet velocity to make it easier to use, especially at range.

Destiny 2 The Call God Roll PvP

The Call god roll for Destiny 2 PvP is:

  • Perk 1: Beacon Rounds
  • Perk 2: Vorpal Weapon/Desperate Measures
  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Masterwork: Velocity

While it’s still capable of dealing strong damage in PvP, The Call is certainly designed as a PvE-first weapon. Due to its slower projectile velocity, it’s hard to make the most of The Call. However, Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, and a Velocity Masterwork do help it out in this regard.

As for the perks, Beacon Rounds with either Vorpal Weapon or Desperate Measures is your best bet. Beacon Rounds makes it so killing an enemy activates tracking projectiles which, once again, helps compensate for the slower projectile velocity of The Call. Then, Vorpal Weapon and Desperate measures are largely down to personal preference. Vorpal Weapon is ideal for shutting down enemy players using their Supers, while Desperate Measures grants a damage boost on kills, with melee and ability final blows increasing the effect.

How to Get The Call in Destiny 2

The Call is a destination weapon from the Pale Heart in Destiny 2 The Final Shape. You will unlock a curated roll during the campaign but you can farm for god rolls by completing activities in the Pale Heart, including Overthrow and various quests.

The Call can also be crafted once you have enough red-border versions so if luck isn’t on your side, then you can also craft the perfect roll yourself.

That’s all you need to get your own Destiny 2 The Call god roll, whether it’s for PvE or PvP. Once you’ve got it in your hands, you’re ready to take on the likes of the Wild Card or Destined Heroes Exotic quests to get the Still Hunt and Ergo Sum Exotics respectively. Or, you could work towards getting the best Destiny 2 Prismatic Hunter build, Prismatic Titan build, or Prismatic Warlock build, depending on your class.
