The Saint of the Slums quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the lengthier pieces of side content you can take on in the city of Vernworth. With plenty of areas to explore, knowing how to find the basement sickroom evidence is key.
It’s here where the abess, or lead nurse, at the hospital seems to be up to no good, according to one of the other patients. As you progress through the Saint of the Slums quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you have to keep searching the basement sick room for clues about the abbess’ wrongdoings.
If you want to fully search the basement sick room, keep reading the guide below. Before you begin, be sure to check out our other guides revealing where to find the Queen Regent's room and how to get the Sorcerer vocation.
Dragon's Dogma 2 basement sick room evidence location
You have to search the basement sick room two different times in the Saint of the Slums quest. If you look at the journal entries for the quest, you’ll see when you need to search the basement sick room for evidence.
You can reach the basement by going down the stairs in the main hospital building at The Gracious Hand. Then, go through the door on the right and head through the door in the next room.
Whenever you get the objective to search the basement, you need to remember that you can only search the room at night. During the day, the room is locked and the abess won’t let you go in. However, at night, the abess goes off somewhere else, leaving you free to enter the basement and search the area.
In the sick room itself, you can head to the back left room and start your search. You’re looking for two items to complete your search, which are listed below:
- Records of Treatment (located on the bookshelf)
- Unlabeled Medicine (located on the shelf above the table)
Whenever you find one of these items, return to the man on the bed upstairs and tell him what you found. Then, he’ll send you to another location where you can analyze the evidence you discovered to build a stronger case against the abess.
The Records of Treatment makes you go speak to former patients of The Gracious Hand while the Unlabeled Medicine requires you to visit a doctor at the Checkpoint Rest Town. Neither of these objectives will take too long, but it can take a while to reach the Checkpoint Rest Town if you have never been there before. It’s located in between Vernworth and the region of Battahl.
Once you have spoken to everyone you need to, you’ll have enough evidence to apprehend the abess and complete the Saint of the Slums quest. If you are struggling with that portion of the quest, we have an entirely separate guide on how to apprehend the abbess, so check that out and finish up the side quest as quickly as possible in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
