When they’re not getting an early taste of Fallout London or fighting with their load orders, Fallout 4 players can often be found searching for apparel that’ll protect their Sole Survivor from the dangers of the wasteland.

After all, when you’re constantly heading off on interesting quests to dangerous areas filled with mutated creatures and bloodthirsty raiders you’ll have to blast or bash your way through in order to earn valuable loot, it’s important to look like a grizzled veteran of the wastes, rather than somebody who’d struggle to take down a radroach.

If you’re in need of some fresh threads and are a fan of comics that don’t contain The Silver Shroud and Grognak the Barbarian, a new mod might be worth taking a look at.

Fancy bringing some hard-hitting vigilante justice to Fallout 4’s lawless badlands?

The mod in question is called ‘Knightmare Batman’ and is the work of modder TenebrisEquitem. Some of their previous projects have given Skyrim’s Dragonborn the chance to take on the guise of the caped crusader or a member of the infamous League of Assassins.

This time, having once again gained the permission of Warner Bros, they’ve used some clothing ported from the Arkham series and Injustice 2 to put together an interesting selection of batsuits tailored not to look too out of place in Fallout 4’s radiation-filled environment.

Headlining this wardrobe of baddie-battering gear is the ‘Knightmare Batman's trench coat’, which is made up of a trench coat and goggles from Injustice 2 Mobile, some of Arkham Knight’s Batman gear and some cargo pants from vanilla Fallout 4, the sum of these being an outfit that blends the vibes of nocturnal warrior and dusty wanderer.

Also included are The Tactical Batsuit from Injustice 2 and a version of Batman vs Superman armour from Arkham Knight, the latter of which has had a backpack from Aldebaran90’s ‘Wearable Backpacks and Pouches’ added to it, so it still boasts a little bit of wasteland flavour.

All of this gear, along with a few extra cowls that you can team with other outfits or use to make your character resemble Ben Affleck, can be crafted at the chemistry station.

Once you’ve done so, you might also want to visit a settlement workshop before you head off to punish the Mojave’s villains, as TenebrisEquitem has also added a Batmobile to the game as a static prop, giving you the perfect item to pose next to while taking some pre-battle selfies.

Regardless of whether you’re now introducing a particularly peculiar raider in clown makeup to your fists of fury, make sure to follow us for more updates on interesting mods like this one for Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas. You can also check out our mods of the month for April 2023.
