After nearly nine years, Grand Theft Auto V has made its way onto a Nintendo platform, but not as you'd expect. Instead of a Switch release, a German physicist came up with a way to put it onto the original Game Boy through streaming.
As spotted by Gamesradar, German physicist Sebastian Staacks posted a new update on his There.oughta.be blog, showing how he streamed GTA V with the help of his self-made WiFi cartridge. Naturally, Staacks couldn't directly run it off the handheld's hardware, but it's still an impressive feat.

Reworking GTA V's images into pixel tiles, the whole process was shown by following the link here. The last step involved the homemade WiFi cartridge streaming the game at a sufficient speed, set at 20 frames per second.
