The first GTA 6 trailer has been released, albeit, earlier than expected, but fans are still excited about exploring this redesigned version of Vice City. Unfortunately, only current-gen console owners will get to tear up Vice City at launch, as the open-world title won’t have a PC version just yet.

As revealed in the game’s official press release from Take-Two Interactive, only current-gen console owners will be getting the game when it launches in 2025. Rockstar didn’t mention a PC release at all in the press release, which probably means computer players will have to wait a bit longer.

Considering how PS5 and Xbox Series owners will be waiting until 2025 for GTA 6, we can’t imagine how much longer it will be for PC players. Unsurprisingly, this has led to a lot of angry PC players, though we’re not sure why they’re surprised at this point since Rockstar always does this.

Ever since the release of the modern GTA games, Rockstar has always made PC owners wait a bit before getting a port. GTA IV, GTA V, and even Red Dead Redemption 2, all came months after they were released on consoles, though the fact this game is two years away does add to that hurt.

Oddly enough, a rare exception to this case is the first Red Dead Redemption, which still isn’t available on PC more than a decade after its release. Rockstar Games recently re-released the open-world Western on Nintendo Switch and PS4, the latter of which has a PS5 upgrade, but still no PC release.

We don’t expect the same thing to happen to GTA 6, since this open-world title is too hotly-anticipated to miss a PC release. Given how much fans wanted to see this game on PC, we’re sure a port will come a few months after the console version’s release, hopefully.

Until Rockstar Games clarifies anything, it looks like GTA 6 will be exclusive to current-gen consoles when it comes out in 2025.
