Some GTA Online players are currently just trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.
After all, with freshly released Last Dose missions to delve into and an array of new cars having been dispatched over the past few months, along with a cool place to store them, there’s still plenty of interesting stuff to keep enterprising criminals busy.
That said, it definitely seems some players already have their eyes set on what’ll happen to GTA Online once GTA 6 gets a concrete release date, with one player on Reddit coming up with a very interesting story idea for its last DLC.
Do you think this would be a good way for GTA Online to go out with a bang ahead of GTA 6?
This player goes by the username AntagonistAgonist and their compelling proposal for the game mode’s last hurrah forms the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which they kicked off by saying: “(This is) my wish for an end-game GTA Online DLC (that’d come out just) before GTA's next (entry) releases.”
They then went on to outline the scenario they’d come up with, which would see the GTA Online protagonist chilling at Devin Weston’s mansion having robbed everyone they possibly could, before coming under attack from a massive and mysterious force made up of crews from all across the GTA universe.
The resulting DLC would see the player band together with all of their allies, including Franklin, Lester and Trevor from GTA 5’s story mode, to fight back against those coming for them and no doubt get into some exciting hijinks along the way.
A lot of the other GTA players in the thread seemed to be big fans of AntagonistAgonist’s idea, with user NoUsername3450 declaring: “(I) thought this would be (the) cringe fanfiction level of bad. Pleasantly surprised! Cool concept for a final DLC!” and Creamymorning adding: “This is criminally under upvoted.”
Others were inspired to add their own touches to the scenario, with user Old-Traffic-1878 suggesting: “what if they find out that the person responsible for the attack was…someone from Vice City, which leads to (the reveal of) a character from the upcoming GTA.”
Meanwhile, a couple went as far as coming up with other scenarios that could lead to similarly climaxing endings for GTA Online, such as TheWhiteRabbit74, who suggested having the player be saddled with $100 million of debt and forced to hunt down an array of enemies from the game’s previous DLCs in order to restore their empire.
