While a massive amount of GTA Online players have dedicated themselves to the grind, with the goal of becoming massively wealthy billionaires who can spend at will, there are some criminals whose wealth is a little more dependent on luck.
After all, not everyone is wired to relentlessly complete daring heists and dangerous sales missions with their dedicated crew in order to boost their in-game bottom line.
Thankfully, sometimes the game throws you a bone without having to put in this kind of effort as one player on Reddit has found out midway through their special day.
Have you ever had something good happen while playing GTA Online on your birthday?
Their good fortune is the subject of a recent thread in the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from the player in question, user strat43, who shared an image of them winning an Obey 8F Drafter via the Diamond Casino’s lucky wheel, captioning it: “(I) won the podium car on my birthday.”
Naturally, many of their fellow players lined up to wish them a happy birthday and discuss the car they’d won, with user ImAceImBack quipping: “you got yourself a nice sounding gift”.
Others discussed their own recent lucky wheel acquisitions, with users kirkszy12 and Gapinthesidewalk both testifying to also having won the podium car recently, while Polygoneer revealed: “I won the Thrax the same day the Casino update came out. It was also my birthday.”
On the other end of the luck spectrum, user JacksonOfTheAndrew joked: “Your birthday was not kind to me. I got a shirt.” and MechaMouse revealed that all they’d gotten was a pretty useless discount at the game’s bicycle shopping website, Pedal and Metal.
Meanwhile, user Ok-Difficulty5495 formed the middle ground in the discussion, saying of their own wheel fortunes: “I haven't won a car, but I've been pretty lucky with 95% of the time winning rp or cash. So I can't complain about that.”
